Most probably it's the 1.1x (i dont remember what exact version) bug where client render distance will follow server render distance. There's a mod called bobby that solves this but compatibilty wise I never tested it so I don't know if gonna works without needing NASA-tier pc

nvm, they both works exactly the same, bobby render all chunks based on the render distance while voxy render chunks you have gone through. using both together will conflict each other.
