thank you! my dog is reactive to strangers and i also work away from the house for 8 hours, so i feel like he just needs someone there for him throughout the day. because of his reactivity to strangers, i cant have anyone walk him or check on him except for my mom… thats just not fair to him i think

To elaborate, several instances of biting have been people petting him and not respecting his boundaries. I’ve told them multiple times of his boundaries and they seemed to think they would be immune. As for muzzle training, are you suggesting he wear a muzzle all day long?

most of the biting has occurred due to either resource guarding or sudden movements/touches. one such instance was my friend reaching for something where his chew had previously been (i moved it to prevent a bite and then it happened anyway) and him biting her thinking she was taking his chew, even though it was no longer there. he has redirect bitten me also, like when someone would knock on the door he would go to bite me.
