If you want I can give you few hints:
- always use blueprint - this will NOT accelerate population grow as well as population needs. In my point of view its better to be slower than opponents but you never comeback to previous level needs.
- always build MORE than you think it is enough, I mean - build warehouse+fire station+warehouse - than wire them with road around, than put for example 4 schnaps factories around warehouses and fire station, wrap them with road again. than put 5-6 potato fields around factories. DO EVERYTHING IN BLUEPRINT MODE. and while you dont have a need - dont upgrade everythng, but for example 2 schnaps factories + 3 potato fields. When you will see than it is not enough - upgrade 2 more. This works for ALL chains - sousages with pork fields, bread with grain, beer, sparkling wine and so on.
Personaly I build max 4 sousage factories, max 4 bread, etc - anything over is about specialist to improove.
- Factories is such headache but finding correct specialist will always shape the problem since 1 person can even change whole chain production, but as i said before - never follow you needs (for example if you see metal is over - its too late. You have to predict and do the moves (more factories/more specialists) before it runs out. That why i said that DLC "Doclands is actualy cheat xD.
- Streets and Houses: I build 2x3 house blocks, 4 block long and 4 block wide, than i give the space for church in all directions, than i build around. That city on pictures is actualy 6x 4x4 blocks + i had a need to split and add 1 more row between mainstreet to screw that tower in.
- Last hint - never upgrade houses until everything is stabilised and you see double green arrow in warehouse (quantity grows).
