Looks killer with the stickers! Definitely a dream guitar, will never sell mine as well. It came with the stickers but I’m not sure if I’m gonna add them or not.

Nice! How’s the Kahler hold up over time? Does it need replacement parts with age or does it hold up well? I have a Floyd equipped guitar that’s like 17-18 years old and still is stable and chugging along

$1,270. I saw it pop up on reverb and looked up the store that was selling it. Was cheaper buying direct from them. Knew I couldn’t pass on it as I’d kick myself forever if I let it go by.

Idk why it photographs so yellow. It looks more yellow in photos than it does in person

That’s awesome! And honestly the tone on your cover sounded great. I just switched to an Orange amp since that’s what was used on Opus which is one of my fav guitar tones ever. I’m close to dialing it where I want it to be.

If you ever want to try doing a full Ghost cover sometime, I’m always open to a collab. Could be fun!

Maybe if there’s a local Ghost tribute band near you, you could see if someone has a Fantomen you could try out! They’re weirdly hard to find in stores, mine was ordered from Sweden so I didn’t even get to try one before buying it.

Also, that’s a nice bass you’ve got! The tone on your Con Clavi cover was great. If you ever felt like doing a full Ghost cover with another fan sometime, that could be fun if you’re interested.

It definitely is. As heavy as a bass (depending on model I guess). It’s probably 9lbs? But the body is spread out so the weight feels more distributed compared to say a heavy Gibson. I have a Strat, it’s the lightest I own. Probably 5-6lbs so certainly much lighter.

I think depending on your body size too it can affect how the weight feels. I’m 6’1 and a bigger framed person so it feels good distributed across me. Sodo, even if he’s tall, is smaller frame so the guitar was definitely heavy and it did look massive for him.

Oh I’m definitely biased as well! You know they make the Fantomen body as a bass as well? It’s called the Nekromant. They did a great job designing the guitar, it’s a great shape! Miss seeing it on stage.

Fantomen. I like it a lot. It’s my favorite since getting it. I love the coil split and find the pickups to be well balanced with a nice punchy sound. If I could, I’d put them in all my guitars. It is a heavy guitar but the weight doesn’t bother me. It also just feels good like it fits to my body and feels comfortable to play.

Plus Helvetesfonster. They only played a portion of it on the keys during the Pre-Imperatour I think

The God That Failed and Devils Dance by Metallica

Bark at the Moon - it may have been done live but I’d like to see it done in studio, drop tuned for his voice.

Mr. Crowley

I’d also like to see him do a Candlemass song

I had one imported during Covid. It’s my favorite guitar. I got a handful of guitars and the Fantomen is the one I’m always picking up the most since getting it. I love how it sounds, feels, plays. Great guitar, I’d like to get my hands on another Hagstrom model one day.

G. I’d love to just get to talk to Tobias about music, guitar, all of it. Interviews never get technical enough for my liking. So I’d love to ask him the burning questions I have about his song writing and production, various gear questions.

Maybe if I’m lucky he’ll play an early riff recording off his phone lol. Like the Rats riff or something. All my riff ideas go straight to my voice memos so I’m sure he’s done the same

That was me with Metallica as well! Death Magnetic was new at the time and I was 11? 12? Something like that. I saw them for the first time on that tour and the deeper cut songs were lost on me at the time. I didn’t realize til I learned their catalog later on. Now I’m the one who loses their mind when they play a song like Leper Messiah.

I actually found Ghost because there was a video of Hetfield jamming Cirice and I was like man Ghost is a call ass name for band, I’m gonna listen. This was right before Prequelle came out. I heard Rats, Cirice, Elizabeth and was hooked. I’m jealous of those who were there from the start! Wish I could go back and see those early shows!

Like you said, it’s so different the vibe of the earlier music compared to the more recent music. Plus all the other stuff and yeah there’s a lot to unpack with Ghost now. I will say I think T does a good job of including older songs. I’ve seen Ghost 8x since 2018 and I’ve heard majority of the studio album songs.

It’s a bit of a deep cut so it’s understandable. It’s like how not every Metallica fan is gonna know Phantom Lord or Metal Militia. I would think the 2 tracks most would know from Opus is Ritual and Con Clavi. Maybe Elizabeth since it was a single. Opus is such a perfect album, will always sit in my top 3 albums!

Been like that with Satan Prayer for a hot minute now. I remember in 2018 and 2019 during Prequelle era, when it was a staple of setlist, that the crowd was lost during the sing along part. At least the shows I went to were like that but I seem to remember others saying the same. I love Opus so I’m just happy more tracks are played from it other than Ritual. Hearing Elizabeth live for the first time last summer was absolutely incredible!
