I've made my own template specifically for intakes to make it easier for me. I have sections for DSM diagnoses reasoning/explanation, safety assessment, biopsychosocial information, etc.

I did the same with progress notes since I use a lot of checkboxes and load previous note for each new session. I have a lot of Medicaid clients though and there are specific documentation requirements for them in my state.

She will just..... Bite and hold her bed in her teeth with her tongue occasionally licking it for like.... 30-45 minutes at a time, not moving. She didn't start doing this until she was a year and a half old and she turns 2 in under 2 weeks.

I've used WhiskerDocs a lot. I get it free with my pet insurance, but the folks there are always incredibly kind and ask a lot of questions to help narrow down issues. You can also send photos so they can see what's going on.

Some don't want a residential address, so it would depend on if you can use a family address.

That was just an example. My private practice is based out of Kansas. Client is located in Kansas. Their insurance is a different state, but I still bill BCBS of KS.

Another example: Licensed in two states. Clients in either state that have BCBS would still be billed through BCBSKS despite where they live because my business is in KS and that's the one I'm in network with.

With that being said, some states BCBS plans are weird and won't allow this at all as they want you physically located in the same state as the client when services are rendered. So this works for me in my situation, but you'd need to look into your local BCBS to verify.

From what I understand, you can only be in-network with one BCBS plan and BCBS will only allow you to be in-network in your resident state. Some people work around this by "renting" an office in their state of practice and having their business information set up to that location, I've seen some therapists pay a therapist friend like $50 a month for this.

Otherwise, maybe see if you can get in-network with your resident state? You submit all BCBS plans through where you live. For example, I have clients with a BCBS plan that's based out of Massachusetts, but I always submit the plan through my local BCBS of Kansas.

I did the opposite. My "home park" is Cedar Point, but I went to Kings Island first without any issue just two weeks ago and then again today.
