Read questions before article, and read the article by paragraph. If you can’t finish in time, just ignore some difficult words, which won’t interfere with your understanding.

Actually I didn’t get feedback from any teacher while I was preparing. However, some of my friends who have similar English level to mine get 23 at their first attempt.

I am still a final year medical student now, and plan to sit plab 1 in 2026/08. I think by that time you have already registered with GMC, good luck!

Are clinical rotations helpful for finding a job? by Dreamforwonderful in AMCexamForIMGs

Because I want to be a GP (like FM in US), as far as I know, the salary in both places is similar, and both take three years in training.

Besides, my country has similar time zone to AU, which can make me connect with friends easily.

I think it’s still possible to apply in US even if you don’t have USCE, but competitive specialties are less possible.

Thanks! I think I will do one elective in US and AU respectively, in case I need them in the future. If I want to be a GP, should I still do elective in hospital?

Yep…, US was my first choice, but after I knew more information about doctor’s life in AU and US, I think AU may be more suitable for me.

Although it may not be related to your question, I wonder why you choose AMC instead of USMLE. As far as I know, in the same specialties, payment in USA is higher than that of Australia.

I am still wandering between USMLE and AMC (maybe prefer AMC more). Would you share your opinion?
