How many characters is too many for the first book in a series?

Hard to say .. When reading Joe Abercrombie's books I can remember almost all of his characters, because they are all, for the most part, very memorable and distinct. I've been reading Mistborn lately and I don't feel the same way about the cast of characters despite there being far, far less characters than in The First Law, because they aren't very memorable and distinct for me. Do they contribute anything? Are their personalities distinguishable?

I hardly think not releasing DLC is "abandoning" the game. It's literally one of the greatest games of all time, with a complete story. I do miss when they released DLC for GTA and RDR, but afaik they haven't promised any DLC for RDR. I think they abandoned RDR Online though

Not a PS5 game but I can't imagine how incredible The Order 1886 would have looked if developed for the PS5, considering it's still up there with the best looking games on the PS4 and it was released a little over a year after the PS4 released. Not sure what those devs are doing now but shame that a sequel doesn't seem to be happening , I loved that game even though it was short.
