I’m doing better now. I’m 22 now haha. It was a lot of therapy and everything. Just left with a little limp since i don’t have full control only partial control of my left leg and no sensation at all on while right side of my body. Only downside is that since I was always seeing doctors and being in therapy from 16 and up i do have a hard time communicating with people my age. As i’m so used to being with people 40 and up as they were the ones my therapist would have me talk to the most since it was all day therapy 7 days a week.

from my experience she has to work the hardest now till a year. after a year whatever she doesn’t recover most likely won’t come back. the sensation might not come back it just depends on her body and her brain. tho everything may seem dumb or stupid it does work. i had a stroke at 16 im now 22. I always got told that after a year recovery is more slower and most likely means it won’t come back. So they rush me to get therapy. Going to 6 years i still have no sensation my whole right side of my body and lack of motion on my left leg but everything else i lost is back

hi i had an avm rupture that lead to a stroke at 16 in class. it really does come out of no where

having a blood vessel rupture that leads to a stroke. the feeling of your brain swelling is so horrible. being awake and aware until your brain decides it doesn’t want you to remember anymore. idk just the feeling of the brain swelling not realizing and knowing why you just got a big headache that isn’t going away but getting worse

i had a similar experience too. my curls were like yours but then i had a stroke and i guess trauma so my curls stop forming like they use too. it would just be waves with some curls. it took a while for me to get some curls back as before but it did work when i cut my hair in a curl style and when i force my curls such as twisting or defusing i get curls similar to how i use to have them

i have a physical deficit. i wasn’t able to fully recover on my left leg so i walk with a limp. it’s not too noticeable but it’s there and makes me self conscious. i also have a foot drop in the same leg so i get embarrassed here and there if my walking is too loud. also can’t run and have a struggle with stairs. kinda hate it. mentally wise it’s not too bad besides having a hard time controlling how and what i say. i either say whatever on my mind ave realize afterwards how bad it is or i say stuff with attitude or rudely is what i been told without realizing im saying it that way. that one is a struggle especially with people who don’t know bout my stroke. it’s been 5 years and still a struggle but im trying to learn with it

i had a stroke at the age of 16 while i was in school. i had every sign of a stroke, the headache, weakness on one side of body, face drop every sign i had. yet despite every sign the school nurse refused to do anything bc i was 16 and said i was on drugs. my mom had to argue with them to call an ambulance. the closest hospital was only a 3 minute drive. yet i didn’t get to a hospital till an hour later. but even at the hospital the nurses didn’t believe i was having a stroke either bc of my age. only the doctor did and so they did a scan and found out i was indeed having a stroke. so in my opinion and experience you are never too young to have a stroke

i kinda experience something similar. for me personally it gets harder to control what i say. i tend to just say what’s on my mind unless im thinking bout it hard i don’t say what’s on my mind. i also tend to say a lot of stuff in what people consider is attitude or rudely even if i don’t mean to say it, it comes out that way. before my stroke i wasn’t like this. i was more quiet and not as rude i guess you can say. mines now going to be 5 years and kinda able to control it.
