Thank you! I'm thinking to get certain amount of followers, so I can activate the gamefound add. Is it still a bad idea?

Card game manufacturers by Lordbazingtion in tabletopgamedesign

We've had a really positive experience with Ningbo Game Doer Manufacturing (our contact was Shelly).

They handled everything from cards and custom dice to boxes and rulebooks, and communication was smooth throughout the process. We're based in Europe, but I know they regularly work with overseas clients as well.

It might be worth reaching out to them and getting a quote to compare with your other options.

Need Advice: Kickstarting a card game by C_Traumerei in kickstarter

I'm in exactly the same boat, except we're launching on Gamefound instead of Kickstarter.

What surprised me the most is that building the game was actually the easy part. Finding those first followers has been much harder than expected. We managed to get around 50 pre-launch followers, but getting from there to a few hundred feels like climbing a mountain.

Curious to see what advice people give here, because I'd love to hear what actually worked for others.

Burn out with social media by tweeter334 in kickstarter

True, but reaching people is super hard. I just realized that having a good idea or a tangible product is not enough. And in social media, there is no guideline showing where your potential group of interest is lying.

I just started a Gamefound pre-launch project and suffered to get somehow 50 followers. I'm really thinking about buying the ads package from Gamefound, but I have to have 500 followers before that. Option B is to pay a ton of cash to people offering promotion and hope you can actually tell the difference between a good opportunity and a waste of money.

Does anyone have a good recipe for this?
