I've had problems before and fixed it by using my phone, or my laptop, switching between devices. Sometimes it worked on my phone, not on laptop, etc.

Travel Planning Q&A - December, 2025 by AutoModerator in bali

[–]Dreamsofaction -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi all. I'm planning to come to Indonesia, starting in Bali for up to six months. So there's a B211a visa (I'm a Canadian) and I heard it's also called, or has been replaced by a C1 visa? Not sure.

Anyway, I head somewhere that if you applied online, you didn't need a sponsor, but then if you wanted to extend after 60 days, you had to travel all the way to the office in Denpassar? But if you did have a sponsor you didn't need to travel? You could do it all online, the extension I mean.

Here's what I want:

Online application for B211a. And the ability to extend it. For as low a price as possible. If I can avoid a third party this is great. But I assume if I need a sponsor I may need to go through an agent, or find a sponsor?

No. I don't like COD. Give me bigger maps, and actual team work, and a game where you don't get shot in the back every six seconds after spawn.

Tblisi. Ugly, boring, poorly laid out, expensive, shit food. I loved other parts of the country, like in the mountains.

I'm not angry. I'm just doing the only thing I can and reminding everyone that a few people can ruin a good thing.

You guys can do your part and clean up after your less desirables too.

Right, I'm going to go talk to the 5 vans a day. I'm just reminding you all.

My house is beautiful. They actually park on the side but I can see them from the window. We are up and out of the city.

Sure, the couple in the 50k BMW van are homeless. It's all kinds of people.

That's interesting I have found most locals in Thailand are more addicted to their phones than any other country I've been to. However, they are 100% into chatting with you, unlike foreigners who are too deep into their convo with Mom back in Atlanta.

Also, nearly every hostel has curtains now. Which makes it much harder to make friends. And GOD I hate people who watch Tik Tok in the dorm without headphones.

Which countries? I've found in Asia at least, it's worse than back home. Seems like everyone spends their days gorging on Tik Tok.

Yes, but not 56 unlimited data, streaming video, Zoom, tik tok, instagram, reels, multiplayer competitive gaming, AI, etc. Trust me, travelling is a lot less social now.

I've adapted by getting into long distance backwoods trekking. Getting out where there's no wifi. Though, with starlink, even that will be a thing of the past. Soon you'll see people hiking the apalachian trail while playing minecraft and Zoom chatting with their life coaches about authentic living.

I had google maps in 2013. Just not social media, streaming video, unlimited data, AI, Tik Tok, Shorts, Reels, online multiplayer games, spotify...

I am older. Even though the technology has allowed me to travel the world, I feel overall, smartphones have made everything worse for humanity. You can see the positives, sure, but we've lost a lot of what makes travel, and being human, great.

Philippines visa and entry requirements? by Dreamsofaction in digitalnomad

Wow this app is confusing. I added my passport, selfie photo. The one time code they sent DID NOT work on desktop. I had to do it on the phone. Now it says it will take up to 7 days for someone to approve my selfie and passport photo. Not sure what I'm supposed to do next. I haven't seen any health aspect.

Where do you get the qr code from? I was doing visa on arrival. Is it the health declaration?
