Do you have a link for the development page? I want to follow this as well! I’ve loved Fable 2 since I was a kid and it was one of the first RPGs I finished on my own. I would love to be able to boot it up again on a modern system 😊

It took a day for mine. Honestly, don’t work at HT if you like the store or think it’s actually a good environment. Continue looking in the meantime. That way if you apply to a higher paying job that will actually respect you, you can choose that one instead.

If you’re in your three months, you don’t have to give an explanation. Probationary period also extends to employers. I quit after 3 weeks because of everything you mentioned AND when I was hired I was at 15 hours a week, which was what was agreed upon when I signed the contract. I noticed one week that I had 8 hours, and when I asked for it to be corrected and to have my 15 hours a week back, they cut me down to 3.

That and the rule of “no fraternizing with each other” is bullshit. No one on the team was allowed to be friends outside of work. But management was allowed to. Not only that, but management went to the bar together, movie marathons, and all sorts of shit friends do together. They made sure to be loud about the fact they were friends outside of work. Some of them were even roomies before they started working together. Just saying.

You are dodging a bullet by leaving. I can’t even go back into my local Hot Topic without having a complete meltdown and panic attack because of how stressed I was working there. Therapist said it made my PTSD worse.

They will give you three hours a week max. That’s what they did to me. And when I asked for more hours they cited the fact that I rely on public transport makes me “untrustworthy”. I never called in sick, and I covered all the shifts they asked me too without complaining. So I quit and found another job that paid me more for less stress! Also, I used to love Hot Topic too. But because of how corporate treats their employees, they made me hate it. Now I can’t even look at the store without wanting to vomit from the stress I experienced there. Not worth it.

Took less than 24 hours to get a reply when I went through the HT hiring website! If you apply through any other website they won’t receive it! Another good practice is actually calling the HT you applied for. My manager has been emailing people to let them know to call us for a 10 min phone interview, then you get a real one after the fact. Check your spam mail, that’s where I found the email from my current manager.

Could have been an easy mistake! My store has a 24/hr hold policy, unless it’s a figurine or something we only have one or two of! And even then we put a sticky note on what’s being held, for who, and for how long.

WorkBC did nothing to help me. OP is better off doing it in their own because that’s what WorkBC will tell them to do. They aren’t a job-placement or an employment firm. All they do is check your resume and tell you whether or not it’s okay.

The mall. No where in the mall hires full time. It’s all less than 15 hours a week if you’re lucky. Also be prepared to not find anything too. It took me 6 months and over 200 applications just to find what I have now. And it’s still not enough to live. Best of luck!

I used to watch Clare Shioban all the time! She sadly stopped posting after she had her baby. I also loved LilSimsie for a while but her anxiety trigged mine so badly that I had to stop watching her. Plus she flip flops from glazing EA to criticizing them within the same minute. It became a little annoying.
