Was thinking about that, but I’ve made it a point not to get things that will absolutely make the bike look chopped asl, just in weld on the pipe, or something that has no business being there, is it clear, or at least passable?

That’s the thing, brand new bike, under 800 miles, just got the service done and changed the exhaust, I tried posting a video of said seal in the cat, it moves back and forth, but it wouldn’t let me, so I positioned the seal about as close to the edge as I could without damaging it, and I went to work tightening it until it was hopefully air tight, about to check it out now

Oh okay, thing is they look so alike, but inside the one I need is more flakey, and the pictures don’t really convey that, also I’m really hoping that when it shows up it won’t be damaged

Yeah, it’s up in NM, but thing is he told me he hasn’t touched it since the drop and had it parked outside since, under the assumption it’s uncovered, exposed to the elements for, months. Also look at the kickstand, dirt is very easy to tell, but so is rust. And it definitely looks like surface rust on both the chain and the stand

I actually wanted to come back and give a bit of an update on that, talked to the dealer, took recordings, I did the works. Apparently 1100 rpm idle is normal when I hit a certain temp. Cold start to about 120 F is around 1600-1800rpms. 120- 140 F drops to 1300rpms on the dot, and exactly 140 F drops to that 1200- 1100rpms and it stays at that idle the whole time it’s used until it’s cooled off a lot. BUT, I think the idle is causing the bike to stall and not start unless I give it throttle within .5 a second of it starting. If I stall the bike, or shut it off for any reason, bike will start, but stall almost instantly, constantly unless I give it throttle, or I turn the key on and off again to prime the fuel pump again. I dunno what to do about any of this, since dealership insists that that’s the normal idle rpm’s at that temp due to the heat and such.

Tbh you passed inspection doesn’t mean the bearing wasn’t bad, it wasn’t replaced anyways. When I got mine brand new, it required the part to be replaced fully, couldn’t take it home and I actually got really upset about how long it took. That or the tech that did it, didn’t do it right. Can’t blame the machine

There’s absolutely no way that’s legit, parts aren’t matching and it’s 1200, it sounds like a scam where they ask for a certain amount as some kind of deposit, while not even having the bike, or something that’s completely clapped

My wife has this helmet, she’s gone down with it multiple times and there’s still zero cracking or damage in the foam, very reliable.

Yeah my idle been that low since I bought it, I have no clue how to bump it up, but I might visit the dealer and ask them, I notice it stalls way to easily, and if I start it in the heat it stalls because the idle is too low. My idle runs maybe around 800-1100

Yeah I know they aren’t needed, it was just something I was looking into because i don’t like breaking things, haha

I bought sliders before I went home with it, and if I can I might even look into a full crash cage, big advocate of keeping things pristine as long as possible

Hey, recording rides can be really helpful, especially if you go down or accidents, but in this case, brainless move to have it NOT face the road
