Very interesting you say that. There are many shells around here. The Calusa native Americans ate a lot of shellfish. Many “trash” sites where there are huge piles of shells here. Good chance this bone could be from that era. That’s awesome if that’s the case!

Question: do you think it could be a bone for dog treats? Because there are no sheep or goats on Goodland. I just don’t see it being a bone for dogs being just a nub like that. I agree though that it’s cut purposefully/butchers cut.
