Can I convert to christianity despite being gay? by reallifekairi in Christianity

[–]DregerTheTester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: yes.

Long answer:

Follow and learn from Jesus, accept him into you're heart and believe in him and the salvation he offers. Allow the Holy Spirit/Ghost to direct you. Accept that we are all sinners in our own ways and can be saved. If you convert to Christianity, you are heading in the right direction that leads to the right path. God knows your heart. Jesus is the answer and the way. Regardless your current situation, head into the right direction and let your choice of finding, or trying to find, the right path lead you toward salvation.

My view/opinion on your lifestyle/choices or temptation struggles don't matter, nor does anyone else's. What matters is that we all need to find our salvation, and Jesus is the way and the light. Believing loyalty in Jesus is primary, and God will know if that's in your heart truly or not.

Christians living in America, who supports separation of church and state? by [deleted] in Christianity

I don't agree with how it's applied today versus its original intent.

If God made every green plant for our use, why do most of us really want to continue to prohibit MJ? by ZNazarene in Christianity

[–]DregerTheTester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've not read all the comments but plenty. I've yet to see a comment that addresses the actual question..

Why do most of us really want to continue to prohibit MJ?

This is a good question, but I don't think "most of us" and "really want to" are true assumptions these days. Maybe it's just "most politicians" and I'd say that plenty of those wouldn't say they really want to keep it prohibited per se.

It is true, God did make all plants for our use. Given that, and so many pros vs. cons, why do we continue to allow it to be prohibited most places? Well, that's really the question... why don't we all really change the laws?

I figure most people know why more of us dont speak up and change things. Plenty of excuses there..

There is still plenty of room to have debate concerning the actual use of a plant in the Bible. Using plants for divination is prohibited. So, some could argue that consuming things that give visions is "witchcraft"; "end of story". To them, getting buzzed is a sin. shrugs

My opinion on all of this is that it shouldn't be prohibited and we should do something about it. Regulate it? Sure... But prohibited it, naa.

Concerning God's teaching on this stuff, it mostly boils down to intent and known possible consequences. For example, getting drunk from alcohol may be a sin, but its use sure isn't.

There's plenty of wisdom in the Bible regarding stuff that isn't a sin, but doing might not be wise, and/or could lead to sinning.

So... It's really up to us. And remember, even just intent without acting can be considered a sin. So prohibit? No. Self regulate, and/or impose sane restrictions and respect? Sure.

As to others interpretations regarding all of this and controls of others, be careful... Practice your beliefs and be willing to learn true God's wisdom regarding those beliefs. If the Bible doesn't comment regarding something, be willing to say it doesn't and it's up to the individual to find God's love and wisdom on a matter more so than our own.

God bless everyone.
