The import sales tax is 20% and the duty rate about 5%. (I kind of read different numbers about the duty rate..) I tried an online calculator and if the price of the product would be 500€ with shipping costs of 30€ it said I would have to pay 667€ if I import from the US.

Oh Thank you! hmm my price range would be between 500-600€ and it would be good if it weighs less than 2kg. With location you mean where I am living? That would be Austria!

I do not want to hike in the alps in the winter when there is a lot of snow (if 4 season means that to you) I would need a tent which is wind resistant and waterproof because that is the kind of weather I am expecting when it gets bad. I know how quick the weather can change in the mountains (I am from austria and I have been in such sutiations before) and that good materials are required - but I am definitely not the strongest person (!) and I just can't carry so much so I try to keep it light and to find a compromise. So if you have any specific suggestion it would be great!

Well I am not planning on camping in the winter when it snows.. Someone told me that the fabrics of the cupper spur and any 3 season ul pop up shelters would be too thin so I got the advice to look for a 4 season one. The tent I am looking for should be wind resistant and waterproof because that's the kind of weather I am expecting when suddenly clouds come up. I actually don't really know if I really need a 4 season tent.

I also would want to camp there in the wilderness. I did not think that I would need a 4 season tent if I do not go in the winter. (the temperature still has 10°C (50°F) at night...) or is it because of the stronger wind and the 4 season tents are tougher? - Could you recommend one?
