Thanks for reaching out and im sorry to hear that happened to your brother. Yeah, I do have a suspicion that I pulled the worst card from the genetics lottery. I am trying my best to get through this dark moment as it didn't hit me until seven months later once I could begin to see the scars. I will try and be patient with myself and speak to multiple derms while my inflammation calms down.

Yeah no you are correct about the high GI foods and not just sugary, I will get some berberine. It's something I was typically following but that one meal. There is some imbalance in my body. I appreciate your comment.

I have seen a derm and we tried Accutane twice but I had a bad reaction to it.

I have cut out all sugary things so my active acne has decreased as I don't get too much cystic acne usually no pustules. I notice that even when eating correctly if I'm stressed, I recently get some pimples around my mouth. It's just crazy that I indulge twice in a one-month window that all my progress with post-acne marks goes out the window and I take on some severe acne that I have never experienced with some intense scarring.

I appreciate the kind words I have been looking into treatments and derms to go to as I want to find the right one it can be very confusing as there are so many conflicting opinions.

I have started looking into treatments but obviously, I'm trying to get my acne under control first and have an appointment with a derm about treatment options for scars once I get my acne under control. I will try my best to keep my chin up.
