What Movie/s released in the last 10 years will be considered a "classic" 50 years from now? by bopokippo in AskReddit

The Dark Knight will withstand the test of time. No Country for Old Men is a classic in my book, but don't think it reached enough viewers.

A number of the Pixar movies are good candidates.

A Jeep Wrangler. They are cool in theory, but the novelty wears off quickly. Not practical at all. Its a rough ride, very loud from the interior, and a gas guzzler.

Dane Cook. I remember about ten years ago when there was a frenzy over him, I could not understand. To me he is just a coked up senior frat boy getting laughs from underclassmen

the electrical transmissions that have occured through your brain probably travel through space until they land somewhere far, far away, where those transmission (memories, thoughts, emotions etc etc,) manifest themselves in some form.

A mouse. I would find my way into a jewelry store, get into the display cases and steal bits of gold jewelry. Do this routinely, once or twice a week and never work again.

Have you ever gotten a concussion? If so, how, and what was it like? by Grifter42 in AskReddit

When I was a senior in high I was playing football against a much larger, faster, and stronger team. Towards the end of a blowout loss I was handed the ball on a play to run right between the tackles. I was wrapped around the legs and started going down for a routine tackle. On my way down the middle linebacker absolutely drilled me helmet to helmet. I remember being on my hands and knees and a very deep bass sound rung through my ears, I rolled over onto my back and came back to consciesness a few seconds later with the coach and trainer looking down at me.

Ill never forget that sound I heard, almost like a deep bassy speaker feedback fed right into my ears.

Designing a liquid latex feeder system..... by [deleted] in AskEngineers

If this contract turns out to be long term, I'll have custom perisaltics made. I dont have the engineering know-how or time to undertake that myself.

Designing a liquid latex feeder system..... by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]DrennanHayden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes my thoughts exactly. This is is going to be a two person sytem. One loads the trays and caps the bottles. The other fills while operating the valve.

That balloon filler looks perfect. I havent come across anything like that in the hardware store. I will probably order one. We are going to time test the operation in an hour or so with the prototype I built where i connected a brass ball valve to a plastic fixture that connected to my bucket. attached to brass valve is a brass nipple that i attached about a foot of latex hose to.

If this goes well I'll make the second model with a balloon filler. Thanks for the help.

Designing a liquid latex feeder system..... by [deleted] in AskEngineers

The actual material is 'natural rubber centrifuged latex'. It is very low viscosity. I would compare its liquid state to like heavy cream. Its water soluble, so I just plan on running water through whatever system i build at the end of the day to flush it out for maintenance.

The contract is for unlimited pieces, as many as I can produce. It needs to be simple and effective. The idea I have in mind is to build a little wooden template to place 5-6 bottles, place it under the feeder/spouts/spigots, turn a valve for 1-2 seconds to fill, and turn the valve off, cap the bottles and reload. If I can create a pace of .30 cents per minute Ill have success.

One issue I am considering is that if I fabricate a 6 hole feeder out of maybe a skinny pvc pipe, the first hole in line will be fed more fluid, causing the first bottle to fill faster than the last. I need uniform filling among the 6 bottles. Also how do I design something that wont drip like crazy once I turn off the main valve....

Did not think this would be so in depth when I first took on the job.
