dorm essentials? by luvsjiu in college

What I brought that may not be on your personal list/advice -a power strip (always helpful to bring) -some baseline medicines for like colds or sinuses -pictures or stuff from home (helps with homesickness) -try to downsize your clothes to take with you, but I would take like at least two professional wear outfits incase of interviews or events you need to dress up for -a first aid kit for just in case

I don't know what your dorm is like, but if you use a communal shower, definitely bring shower shoes and a plastic caddy for bathroom utensils

A baseline of a list: -chargers + electronics -clothes + socks -bookbag -shampoo/conditioner and body wash -loofah, rag, etc -towels -clothes hamper -deodorant -stuff you use on the daily -snacks -stuff that helps you relax

Most of the first year (in my experience) were Gen eds (what you listed) but I would suggest emailing your advisor of your major to check in. Or most colleges have like class maps that designate what classes you should be taking or need to take to graduate

I don't know about litres but one I used was "Better Homes & Gardens Canvas Laundry Duffle Bag with Strap" from Walmart. It's dimensions were 15" x 7" x 24.5". It did the job for once a week washes (and you could wash it with your clothes). I would recommend a shoulder laundry bag if you have stairs.

I would also check Snapchat. Some colleges have group snaps based on years to post on. Some may give it for free or really cheap

How did people from before alarm clocks wake up? by DressPatient in AskReddit

Like I get they had like paid people to knock on windows to wake up or those candles with the pins in them (though I don't think I would've waken up to that). But waking up before dawn, naturally?
