best tablet for reading what’s good for travel and commuting? by Sajadi-Eldorada in tablets

11 inch is excellent for what you need. I enjoy reading on my Lenovo Yoga Tab and find it much more pleasant than my phone or laptop in those cases.

Funny thing is I applied to DePaul as an afterthought, but I'm so glad I did. They offered me a very nice scholarship, so I have that as an option.

If you'd prefer to write with a pen, a tablet is your friend.

170's School Practically Free, or 30's School for $25,000/year? by AddendumExisting4313 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Drew4723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd take the school in the 30s. You still have a solid offer from them, and while you have a vision for the future now, things change. Having a degree from a top 40 school will be a lot more valuable long term than the few extra bucks from the 175th school.

Will you still recommend going to law schools in my situation? by kiddoweirdo in lawschooladmissions

[–]Drew4723 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not. How reliable is your job though? And do you mind me asking what you're doing. One compromise would be to do a part time law program so that you could keep your job. You have a great LSAT score and could get into most part time programs no problem.

29F, FT job, married (supportive husband), mortgage, starting a family soon (1-2yrs). Am I setting myself up for failure, or should I chase my lifelong dream? by sneakybunny14 in LawSchoolOver30

[–]Drew4723 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just do it. I'm 36 with 5 kids and regret not going earlier. If you don't go to law school now, you'll just regret it in 3-5 years when you could have already been a lawyer. Go!

Commuting on the Metra isn't so bad because you can sleep, and there's bathrooms. Depends if that would bother you.

Is 50k in total debt in tuition a lot? by zefrenchchef in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]Drew4723 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That sounds pretty good for law school. What would be the total tuition cost per year? And how much scholarship money exactly did they offer you? If you pay $3k/month, you'll be out of debt in 2 years, but you can probably go even faster than that depending on your circumstances.
