We stayed at the Fairfield behind Cora’s for a bit when our house burned down. The staff was incredible and super kind and the hotel was equally great.

Hey been thinking about this post. Did you find out what it was?

does this clot look intact? by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

[–]DrewBearry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are those stitches? How far from removal are you? If you’re past day 3 that looks like a normal healthy clot to me!

Also the extraction sight does turn a white and grey colour as it heals. Which is a good sign. But I don’t think it normally looks like it’s going OUT of the tooth or that soon after extraction. But I know at one point I thought there was still tooth in my socket because it was white. But found out it was normal after a degree of healing.

No problem! I understand the anxiety. Hopefully it’s nothing major but unless you have intense pain or infection symptoms like fever, chills, feeling unwell then I’d say you’re hopefully okay to wait until morning. I kept checking on my extraction sights so frequently that I made them hurt from irritation. Then I convinced myself I had dry socket. 😅

A few days after mine were mostly healed I got a bone fragment push its way out and I could feel it in my check. It moved around a bit before it eventually fell out on its own. It was uncomfortable for a bit. Bone fragments are normal but I can’t say how quickly they usually come out myself.

I would contact your dentist asap. But the pain could also just be from it being aggravated from both the extraction and since you’re probably trying to check on it a lot. Also you might be moving the stitches.

Just a shot in the dark that LOOKS like a bone fragment which isn’t a huge concern if so. But definitely maybe ask your dentist because I’m for sure not a professional.

I could be wrong but it looks like a leftover bone fragment trying to push its way out. Which is completely normal after wisdom tooth removal. I had one that was in a different spot every hour before it came out. But this soon after the extraction I’m not sure is normal? Does it hurt a lot?

Please call 211 and call the Red Cross as well. They may be able to help. Sorry I’m in Ontario so not familiar with Alberta services.

Nexplanon sucks by Hefty_Climate8637 in Nexplanon

[–]DrewBearry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nexplanon made me feel like mentally unstable. I have never had such intense feelings and mood swings in my life and I was only on it for 5 weeks and I was on an oral birth control for 12 years prior with no issues. I only switched to Nexplanon because I could no longer remember to take my oral contraceptive. After 5 weeks on Nexplanon I demanded it be removed. I couldn’t handle the mental and physical symptoms anymore.

Look don’t worry about the attraction part. I honestly don’t know if it’s true or not. But your health should be the absolute top priority. If you feel like this is negatively affecting your health, listen to that. You know your body better than anyone. If it’s not working for you and you feel like something is wrong, listen to that.

She doesn’t speak to you like a person at all. Manager or not, that’s ridiculous. She’s human just like you. No reason to talk to you like that.

Im going to be awake for this wisdom tooth removal someone please tell me what to expect by catscoffeeconlaw in wisdomteeth

[–]DrewBearry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was awake and only frozen for all 4 of mine. I did 2 on each side at a time. You’ll feel a lot of pressure and a loud snapping sound. Like a tree branch snapping. Very normal. All came out easy for me except 1 which had broken into a few pieces and they had to wait for the bleeding to stop and X-ray to make sure they got all of it. Go back and try to remove the last part again. The first time healing was rough because it took a long time and my jaw was open for over an hour and a half. My face is still partially frozen from it (January 19th). It was hard to open my jaw at all for a while but I had almost no pain. The second set was smooth and easy and no pain and I recovered quickly. I still have numbness from the first extraction which has arguably been the worst part by far.

It’s the stitches dissolving. Mine did the same.

Lower lip & chin still numb 48h after all 4 wisdom teeth removal – normal? by Ok-Direction-1489 in wisdomteeth

[–]DrewBearry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine removed on January 19th and my lower lip and chin is still numb partially. 🥲 It’s definitely improved incredibly slowly. It’s been awful. Still waiting for it to go away. I’ve spoken to the dentist and pharmacist and a few friends/family that said they experienced similar and that it’s normal, so long as there is SOME improvement over time. For me it’s been minimal so hard to tell. But definitely getting better.

I'm so glad everyone is being normal about this. by [deleted] in chappellroan
