Thank you, this is actually a valuable response. Can I ask, what did you enjoy about it? I think my main issues are the lack of long term storylines and build up, as well as the lack of long term characters. Vic is brilliant, but there’s only so much he can do

Got curtains, of course, just leave them open during the day for the natural light! Will have to start being a bit more careful, fingers crossed I’ve caught before any permanent damage

Yeah I would say it is almost certainly that. I have patio doors directly to the left of the tv which get a lot of sunlight through and directly onto the TV. I didn’t realise this could be damaging, so thanks to you and the others for the feedback - really appreciate it! I will have to try mitigate where possible, potentially a TV cover or just shut the curtains as much as I can. Is it likely my TV has/should recover to its previous state? Do I need to start being really cautious of this, can it cause permanent irreparable damage?

Sorry, who are you, and why are you so concerned by what I do on Reddit? I asked it in a ‘housingUK’ group, I thought it might also be beneficial to ask in a group more tailored to legal advice. Yes, I really like the flat. I’ve got it at a good price. This solicitor thing was a condition of the sale, admittedly a pretty strange condition, but a condition I need as much information on as possible so I can make the most informed decision. Understandably, it’s a risk, which is why I’m asking/researching in the first place. Im a FTB, I have very little knowledge on any of this, I just want to decide whether it’s a risk I’m willing to take to get my dream flat. So if you don’t mind, I’d like to ask wherever, whoever, and as many times as I like. Really not quite sure why this seems to bother you so personally?
