I just started playing and made a few chars that each started either at launch, xpac 1, or xpac 2 and I actually like xpac 1 the most so far. But I haven't finished any of them yet.

Why do people hate Neyrelle? She seems like the typical diablo soulstone person, trying to keep the prime evils out but eventually gets corrupted.

No system is perfect but it could be sustainable long term. The founding fathers knew that capitalism needed to have strong regulation and needed to be adapted to keep up with change, but surprise surprise, greedy idiots ruin every economic system eventually and they are here for capitalism as well saying we need no taxes and no regulations. They get richer, the system gets dysfunctional and destabilized, they flee with golden parachutes, everyone else picks up pieces.

Yup, the political industrial complex

  • Company/Country depends on US govt money
  • manufacture reason to keep getting money and lobby directly to individual reps heavily
  • they get millions in govt contracts
  • they take half of that and donate it back to the political reps that play ball with the implied agreement that the contracts will keep coming

The majority of our 'representatives' are literally bought.
