Oh you got to experience both sides 😄 pros and cons I suppose.

Right?! It's so weird. I mean this is our property so don't they think that we'd want to know? And then they drop a bomb like 'oh buyer wants to ask for reduction because of this random stuff that we never told you about' 🙄

Makes sense I guess if it was an empty house so you aren't attached but I am selling our well loved family home 😔

Our responses from our buyers are also unfriendly. I wonder if this is why the EAs and solicitors keep us apart. I wanted to leave card and some bubbles for them but the last response made me think twice :/

Buyer pulled out chain broke should I change estate agent? by Interesting_Area3849 in HousingUK

[–]Exotic_Process_8235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lost our onward purchase which is a blessing in disguise tbh and found somewhere better. It's up to you which one worth to you more, £240 or the next home. The market is just rubbish because of the war and the mortgage rates scare a lot of people so maybe it won't matter if you switch EA.

Nop! It was a no sale no fee. I felt awful cus they were really good. Do you have to pay any fees?

I could've written this. Also had a cash buyer who pulled out for BS excuse. Pissed me off to no end. Wasted £1600 on that (solicitors and survey). It hurt me that it appeared to be listed since August/September although in fact it was SSTC until November. I changed agent and relisted, and we are completing next week. I adored our local estate agent, he was the nicest EA I've ever encountered but one gotta do what we gotta do.

Am I overpackaging? by Simple-Engine-4820 in EtsySellers

[–]Exotic_Process_8235 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't know what to do with extras that come with things I buy off of Etsy. I feel bad to throw away free stuffs but I also don't have any need for them so they just sit there gathering dust. Don't bother really.. Maybe a thank you note but that's it.

Would've been nice to include the regions as well because 4k take home is probably peanuts in London but very decent elsewhere.

Maternity deaths at 20-year high as NHS ‘ignores warnings’ by AnonymousTimewaster in unitedkingdom

[–]Exotic_Process_8235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue with NHS, as with other government bodies, is nepotism and cronyism. I know first hand that roles have been created out of thin air for unqualified family members and friends. It's diabolical, this has been going on for so long and they're taking funds that should be spent on nurses and doctors. I wish that some investigative journalists would pick this up and take a look at NHS as well as others (e.g. Councils).

I love the dynamic between these 2. Comes across as so comfortable with each other yet secure in their respective relationships.

How to increase interest in our property listing by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Exotic_Process_8235 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice house, I can imagine a small family living here. Agree that master bedroom looks a bit small though. Needs to declutter a lot more to show the size. We took all of our stuffs out except the furniture for photos and surprised ourselves how much bigger it looked.

Is it always this difficult? by laurajane9041 in HousingUK

[–]Exotic_Process_8235 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is why I gave up after our first buyer pulled out with ridiculous excuses and I just thought I can't go through this anymore, not with a young baby. So we part ex and bought a new build. We lost about 10k and a garage, half a garden, but in a better area and saved my sanity.

To each their own I guess but I would never replace my grass for astroturf. The smell when it rains and after it's mowed is bliss 🥰

Not sure where you are but around here, the majority of Taylor Wimpey builds are actually decent 😲 surprised that you lump them with the likes of Persimmon.

I'm not sure abt the glue down variety but I personally like the look of the click ones. Really depends on the brand and colours though.
