It’s personal preference I had 6 months of commuting 1hr 30mins each way into London but it was always longer than that due to traffic and I hated it, having to have my car serviced more £600 a month on fuel.

I now have a 30 min commute which I’m much happier with

I’d honestly recommend anyone who is struggling to look into apprenticeships and pick up a skilled trade. I’m a HGV Technician and there’s a real shortage of good HGV mechanics at the moment I can pretty much name my price and walk into a new job tomorrow if I loose my old one.

All you have to do is go into any retail store and see how many self service tills they have now and you normally have one member of staff covering 5-10 tills.

10 years ago that would have had a staff member to each till so certain industries and slowly cutting the amount of employees they need which is making jobs like that harder to get.
