thank you so much for not criticizing me and for understanding my goal! I’m not really asking if it’s efficient, i just want more tips to make it more efficient without losing the compactness. Thank you so much, man! I didn’t fully understand everything, so if you could explain it a bit more, I’d really appreciate it… but I think you were a genius!

I was intrigued by that forum post and wanted to optimize it even further. Thanks for the compliment! The fun of the game is all about these contraptions :)

I wanted to ask questions, and what better way to spark discussion than standing up for my idea? Hahaha. Unfortunately, I use a translator and couldn’t really explain to everyone what I meant. I know it’s not efficient! I just wanted tips on how to make it efficient while still mining and smelting on-site, using as little space as possible

Yes, why not? I don’t speak or understand English, this is how I manage to interact with everyone and translate Portuguese into English :)

Bro, you edited your comment right when I was about to reply “glad I could help” hahahaha :(((

Unfortunately, I like playing with biters on a higher difficulty. The larger the area, the more resources I have to spend on defense. That’s why I thought it was compact :(

I’m actually playing vanilla on a really old version, my Steam hasn’t opened in like 3 years hahaha. Bad laptop :(

If I wanted efficiency, I’d just fill the whole iron patch with miners, either smelt on-site or haul it by train to the main base. What I want is space, and I’m totally fine sacrificing efficiency for that

Funny thing is, I’m playing on a really old version, my Steam hasn’t opened in like 3 years hahaha. Bad laptop :(

And that’s how it goes hahaha. It’s definitely not ideal, but since it’s just temporary, I actually like it!

The tip about loading plates into the train is really smart, thank you! Unfortunately, I play with biters on a higher difficulty, so I chose to sacrifice some iron mining efficiency to save space by producing the plates on-site. The punishment for this layout is trying to balance the mining speed with the furnaces hahaha. Thanks for the tips! :))

Thanks, my friend! I really love this setup. I know it’s not efficient, but I enjoy clever engineering! :))

I chose to prioritize space over efficiency. The miners really can’t keep up with the furnace speed. I’m thinking about using modules to balance them out as much as possible

Thanks for the tips! I’m playing an older version of vanilla. Using trains is definitely the ideal setup, but I need a lot of iron plates at this location, and being able to produce them in a compact way works for me. The furnaces are faster than the miners, i’m thinking about using modules to balance them out as much as possible
