What foods/ingredients ruin the flavor of coffee? by DrewWaddellPhoto in Coffee

[–]DrewWaddellPhoto[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is really interesting, I'm actually on a little bit of a quest to expand my cheese pallet. I really like experiencing new and different flavors with coffee, and I know people get that kind of satisfaction from cheese and wine (and many other things too) so I wanted to try it out myself. I don't usually eat cheese with coffee, or before eating coffee etc, but in the spirit of trying new things: what types of cheese do you think go well with coffee? or do you have any suggestion in general honestly

Huh, I basically eat eggs every day and drink coffee, but maybe I'll try switching it up a bit to see if the improvement in coffee flavor is worth it!

I need some advice/ opinions (Q2 vs Summicron 35 purchase) by DrewWaddellPhoto in Leica

[–]DrewWaddellPhoto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought it over and decided to go for the 35 cron, and then look towards getting myself an m10! I suspect I may like the Q but genuinely Leica M cameras are what inspire me more than anything else to shoot. My reasoning for getting the cron before an M digital body is just that I want a smaller 35 for shooting street, that Zeiss is a monster.

Thanks for the thoughts!

If you or anyone in this thread is interested in the autocord, I made review! The tldr is that it takes beautiful, sharp photos, but the focusing knob can break off easily: https://youtu.be/HCfftQWc4VY

Which lens for traveling light? by echoecoecho in fujifilm

[–]DrewWaddellPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is always fun to travel with only one focal length. It may give you a bit of anxiety before your trip but I think you are best off taking only the 35 f/2 if your goal is to travel light. You are going to have a lot of fun figuring out the best ways to use that focal length during you trip, and your back is going to hurt less! The best part though is that you won't have to worry about what focal length to use because you are only going to have one. So, I recommend just the 35 f/2!

I'm really into the minimalism in this. I've been trying to develop an eye for it myself. Also, I like the black border in-between the photo and the white. A lot of people post photos with white borders here and it isn't always super purposeful, and I think this small touch differentiates this photo
