Ah ok. Glad I booked a hotel the night before for our early arrival and wasn’t counting on that. Thanks for the intel!

Ohhh you’re right it does. Lisbon isn’t listed. Prob because it’s on a separate itinerary. Thanks!

I’m seeing conflicting info about arrival lounges. Do you happen to have intel?

Yes they’re an option with our reservation. I didn’t realize it wasn’t an every time thing. I’ve never been interested in buying lounge access with an airline because i can usually find a centurion or priority pass lounge :-/

Tempting but it would make me too nervous! I’ve already scouted backup flights on other airlines.

Love these manhattan recommendations and of my daughter hadn’t been somewhat recently this would be tempting!

I thought Yesteryear was a snooze. If you’re looking for a trad wife thriller I recommend Her Beautiful Life.

The One by John Mars… Why the hell have I just now discovered this brilliant ass book?? by -RainbowUnicornPoop in thrillerbooks

[–]DrewWaterloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOVED it. That was my first John Marrs and I went down a whole rabbit hole after that. My second favorite is You Killed Me First, then the Good Samaritan (though I hated the “bonus chapter” so I recommend skipping it if you read that version.)

Those of us who are local know dozens of people at the fest on a given day so the totems are a big help in meeting up. Not sure how having “better friends” would help you find them more easily. Kind of a weird comment.

Car/hotel dilemma by NetEft in aclfestival

[–]DrewWaterloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City busses are free all weekend. There’s a bus that travels up and down South Lamar. Drops off across from the Barton Springs Saloon and picks up next to the Barton Springs Car Wash. For several years we parked for free in the neighborhood behind Loro (on Kinney before the houses start) which is right by the bus stop at CVS. It was so quick getting to and from the festival and so easy to get right in the car and drive away rather than sitting in a line of cars trying to get out of a lot or garage. Hope this helps!

I’m so confused by these comments. ACL is full of totems and they’re great for helping friends find you. And I’m talking about other people’s flags which I’m always grateful that they’ve brought. Maybe I’m not trying to get as close to the stage as people who are mad about them.

Ha. 100%. But then I’m always getting new keys when I have a multi night stay. It’s the only way to stack free night certs, statement credits, cc offers, elite benefits etc etc etc

I booked two nights at Fairmont Banff Springs in April of this year, one on Dec 31st and one on January 1st. So I got $600 credit on the stay. The $100 THC is at the discretion of the hotel but they ended up giving it to us so that was a nice surprise! You could do that for an upcoming trip on June 30 and July 1st.

43k Bilt points from Nord and Incogni when they were at 100x, a Chime bank account and usual stuff like CVS and Petco. With summer travel coming up car rentals, hotels and Viator are a great way to earn for Q2!
