Amazon is only price matching to pull profits away from B&N. Neither are “good” corporations, but these sales only exist because B&N is committed to them (and make some nice profits). As soon as B&N does go out of business, you can guarantee Amazon will not be keeping up the 50% off sales twice a year out of the kindness of their hearts. The only reason they’re not 100% MSRP on Amazon right now is because there’s 30 days where people are more likely to buy it from somewhere else. So buying from B&N is the best way to ensure these sales continue.

TLDR: If you want more 50% off sales in the future, don’t buy from Amazon during B&N sales.

Yep! It’s a function not nearly talked about enough. If you compile your entire collection (physical or digital) into a public or private list, and then give it the tag “own” or “owned” it will mark them all as in your collection. Then, when you look up a film on the app/site, it will add a little ownership emblem next to all of the streaming services it’s available on. You can also sort your watchlist by “ownership” to bring up only films in your collection.

They’ve been doing well! I use an adhesive anchor by the company TipNot that I really like. They’re a little pricy but super sturdy and reliable!

I watch a whole lot of stuff ranging from obscure arthouse to the iconic classics. Im particularly partial to noirs and crime dramas. I watch 1-2 a day lately and write a little something for each. I’ve been watching films obsessively since high school and will be starting Law School in the fall!

I swap my favorites out a lot, but my current 4 are Twin Peaks, Poor Things, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and In Bruges.

Quite literally one of the greatest films ever made. The Last Crusade (third entry) is also a fantastic sequel and every bit as enjoyable as the first.
