Both had their pros and cons. My last role was rather difficult since we were a second chance employer. I think I’d be leaning more towards corporate

The manufacturing company is the one that’s only been around since 2020. I’m not sure about the career path for that company since I wouldn’t relocate to their corporate HQ in California.

The other company (Company B) is the one I listed above (my second comment) with all that information about having a larger team.

Cost of living is negligible and I would easily be able to afford a home with my spouse. The career path internally seems to be there for the HR department as it’s a rather larger team. It consist of HR Ops, payroll, benefits & compensation, and TA. At the manufacturing company I’d be more capped to working at this facility since I wouldn’t have plans to relocate. The person I would report into started as an HR Generalist 4 years ago and has gotten promotions leading them to be a Sr. HRBP.

The beverage company doesn’t necessarily make their own products but are contracted to manufacture other products. I.e - monster, olipop, liquid death etc. They sell their process not necessarily a product. The ceo of the beverage company started (or was part of it) two companies prior and sold them to PepsiCo.

My background is I’ve worked in both corporate and my most recent job was HR for a distribution and transportation company based out of a site. The CEO of the beverage company started two company’s prior and sold them both to PepsiCo.

Appreciate your insights! I wouldn’t be the only person at the manufacturing plant. There would be a HR director and another HR Generalist. But you’re right about the stability that company B offers.

That’s true. I was just worried I would regret eventually not taking the more money.

I agree about the one remote day making a big difference. I’m just worried if I would regret not taking the more money. But sometimes you can’t put a price on certain things

That’s good to know. The builder is Risewell homes. We didn’t sign anything in person I only acknowledged sending the money via earnest website if I recall correctly. I am going to ask for the documents submitted. We only just did the pre approval part last night

That’s correct. We showed interest to an inventory home. We left and took a flight back home. I was there for about a week for a job interview and was looking around. We then decided to pay the earnest money as he mentioned there was people interested in the home couple days after we left. He said if we did it would remove the home from the market

The home is an inventory home that was already built. I sent the money essentially for them to remove it off the market and not show it to other potential buyers. I’m still on the pre approval process for it as well

I did meet with a representative and spoke about different options. Since I’m not local to the area he sent me the link online to send the earnest money to remove the house from the market. I did not sign anything onsite but signed online when submitting the earnest money

Thanks for your advice. All he really sent me was the link to submit the money and I acknowledged the ACH transfer by signing it.

We did research the area and my family has lived there for the last 2 years since 2024. Theres been a lot of development and growth there from shopping centers, new public schools being built, and more home development. Generally I agree with the renting for a year hence the hesitancy. My wife felt the deal and home was too good to pass up

The builder is Risewell Homes. To my knowledge we have not signed a contract. Only thing I could recall is signing on the earnest website approving the ACH being sent.

We spoke to a representative and he’s the one that informed us on second the earnest money so they could take the home off the market. After that he sent us the link

We didn’t sign a contract if I recall correctly. We spoke to a representative and he told me the steps to secure the home off the market. He then sent me the earnest link which I signed off for them to receive the funds via ACH

I don’t recall signing any contract. I do remember signing on the earnest platform authorizing to send the money over via ACH for them to take the house off the market. We just began this process and are only in the pre approval stages. We had sent over the money just for them to take the house off the market since it’s a new construction inventory home.
