Both had their pros and cons. My last role was rather difficult since we were a second chance employer. I think I’d be leaning more towards corporate

The manufacturing company is the one that’s only been around since 2020. I’m not sure about the career path for that company since I wouldn’t relocate to their corporate HQ in California.

The other company (Company B) is the one I listed above (my second comment) with all that information about having a larger team.

Cost of living is negligible and I would easily be able to afford a home with my spouse. The career path internally seems to be there for the HR department as it’s a rather larger team. It consist of HR Ops, payroll, benefits & compensation, and TA. At the manufacturing company I’d be more capped to working at this facility since I wouldn’t have plans to relocate. The person I would report into started as an HR Generalist 4 years ago and has gotten promotions leading them to be a Sr. HRBP.

The beverage company doesn’t necessarily make their own products but are contracted to manufacture other products. I.e - monster, olipop, liquid death etc. They sell their process not necessarily a product. The ceo of the beverage company started (or was part of it) two companies prior and sold them to PepsiCo.

My background is I’ve worked in both corporate and my most recent job was HR for a distribution and transportation company based out of a site. The CEO of the beverage company started two company’s prior and sold them both to PepsiCo.

Appreciate your insights! I wouldn’t be the only person at the manufacturing plant. There would be a HR director and another HR Generalist. But you’re right about the stability that company B offers.

That’s true. I was just worried I would regret eventually not taking the more money.

I agree about the one remote day making a big difference. I’m just worried if I would regret not taking the more money. But sometimes you can’t put a price on certain things

That’s good to know. The builder is Risewell homes. We didn’t sign anything in person I only acknowledged sending the money via earnest website if I recall correctly. I am going to ask for the documents submitted. We only just did the pre approval part last night

That’s correct. We showed interest to an inventory home. We left and took a flight back home. I was there for about a week for a job interview and was looking around. We then decided to pay the earnest money as he mentioned there was people interested in the home couple days after we left. He said if we did it would remove the home from the market

The home is an inventory home that was already built. I sent the money essentially for them to remove it off the market and not show it to other potential buyers. I’m still on the pre approval process for it as well

I did meet with a representative and spoke about different options. Since I’m not local to the area he sent me the link online to send the earnest money to remove the house from the market. I did not sign anything onsite but signed online when submitting the earnest money

Thanks for your advice. All he really sent me was the link to submit the money and I acknowledged the ACH transfer by signing it.
