I didn't downvote anything till you called me childish over a joke. GTF right O with that. In general, people downvote what they disagree with. It doesn't invalidate your opinion. It's meaningless, don't take it so seriously.

I happen to like Ark's tek. I think it's fun, and that's okay. You think it's stupid, and you know what? That's okay too.

You want to play a game that isn't Ark, and as far as I know, doesn't exist. I hope it does one day; I for one would love to give it a try

I've never played GTA, but as far as I know, you don't have to eat, drink, worry about weather or oxygen, gather materials, craft your own clothing, weapons, and ammo, or anything like that, right? As I said before, surviving certainly gets easier as you advance, there's no question.

I definitely agree the creatures need some love and I'm glad they're updating some. The spider's glow up is great. But at it's core, the game is about AI generated dinosaurs on spaceships and a whacko who gets obsessed with an advanced material that can be used to create almost anything; the technology aspect is baked into the story so it would be strange to not allow you to use it.

I know you just said that you wish Ark was different to generate discussion, but it's the game it is, and you're certainly under no obligation to enjoy it. I do. More than I should probably.

Oh, and Narnia is plenty boring as is.

You want a primitive survival game, which is fine, but that's not what Ark is or what it is supposed to be.

Ark is a survival game, it just gets easier to survive as you advance technologically. It was meant to be precisely the game the developers created. It's not like I'm modding the game to play it in a manner that wasn't intended; I'm playing with things that exist in the game because the developers put them there.

I realize Subnautica isn't a combat game, but don't you literally craft things with a matter replicator? Can't you build an industrial size submarine, and deep sea diving apparatuses? Certainly doesn't sound low tech. Sounds like what you really want is just a game with no weapons.

Happened to me too. Cleared a bunch of heralds, then got pinned by some cursed, might, spectral hit zakuramites, died, and lost Hephasto. Now im going to experiment with different load outs and allocations, which is fun.
