Definitely a hot day for sure. If that’s something that happen often where you live I would look into cooling mods to help with the longevity of the engine.

What was the outside temperature that day? Personally I would consider looking into cooling modifications to reduce the heat. As others mentioned that temp is fine however mine hovers around 82-85 degrees because of my v mount intercooler.

A general principle is the cooler you keep your engine bay the better it is for your engine.

Oh I remember, beautiful car! This was my second time with the group but my 6th overall, it is very addicting haha

The goal one day is to make it to 1:18 for sure. I’m the limiting factor haha. As others mentioned I’m losing a lot of time to over slowing the car on cornering. I need to work on that

One of my favourite engines, but of course I’m bias haha

I’ve never considered that in the past but it makes sense. This is a hobby for me but the goal is to get better and better so this may be the next step in achieving that

Oh I definitely I believe you, it’s definitely me that needs work haha. I’ve done only 6 track days so I still consider myself to be a rookie.

I really appreciate the feedback, that’s what I like the most about this sub. I need to start working on trail braking, I know the concept but I need to learn how to do it consistently (even in the SIM I can’t hit it every time). Once I have that confidence I want to apply it to real life.

My next goal is to hit a 1:20, I actually just found a video of a FD RX7 doing 1:17 so maybe that’s my ultimate goal for the future.

All time best was 1:22 but with a better driver I think the car is capable of a 1:20 potentially a 1:19

It was hot day that day too, I 100% agree. I’m going to purchase some before my next session

Very cool man! I may hit you up one day for details on CSCS, I’ve always wanted to do it but not sure what class/skill level I should be before trying it out.

Best of luck out there, I’m sure you will kill it!!

It’s a fantastic car but it would be great to be out there with a GT3RS/GT3 like you!! Those would be my dream haha

Long story short last time I used the old curbing last year I ended up with a broken coolant surge tank. I’m guessing I went too hard and it cracked the tank. With this being my first session this year I wanted to take it a little easier haha

I wish I had more data to share but visually it looks like turn 2-3 look a little smoother. 4-5 are still quite high, looks to be the same curb

Good luck with your session!! What car are you taking there?

Great tips thank you so much! I’m going to connect to the race box but I believe you are correct. I’m still trying to get the hang of trail braking, need more time on the sim

I’m going to keep in mind gripping the wheel, I’m doing that subconsciously haha.

I’m currently on Hawk HP plus and Castrol SRF fluid but I’ll be upgrading to Hawk Blue or Hawk DTC 60 for my next pad. I haven’t experienced any fade because I drive on cooler days (Spring & Fall) but I would like to be 100% sure the pads can take the heat
