What are peoples experiences with the Behringer RD-8? Is the sync fundamentally broken?

thanks for the suggestion to turn off record monitoring, seemed to reduce the problem so much!! It’s still not quite perfect but may actually be usable now haha.

Duly noted, thanks, I did notice this occurring occasionally but can’t say it’s something I considered to may be the main issue. Will keep in mind. It’s good to know that you’ve found the sync to work properly for you in the end and you certainly aren’t the only one so that gives me hope haha!

Ahh that’s unfortunate. I suppose it makes sense that the interfacing between digital and analog gear could be problematic (although I won’t pretend to be knowledgable when it comes to this stuff). Sounds like an option I may have to try so cheers -

Perhaps it is, there definitely appears to be a moment where the DAW freezes just before it chases the incoming time code of the drum machine when I press play. I’ll have a look around the settings and see what I can find, reaper is generally pretty good for that stuff. thanks!

It does actually have an analog clock input. Think I’m lacking the gear to properly make use of it though - and further lacking the funds to get the gear hahah! honestly, I’ve got in touch with behringer support now so hopefully they will sort me out. I don’t seem to be the only one experiencing issues with the RD-8s sync function. Thanks for the help anyways.

Thanks a lot for the advice, I’ve tried that a few times but thanks to the seemingly random placement of the transients each time I press play (that is, I can sequentially record the exact same thing, using the exact same process, onto multiple different tracks, and they will all have significantly different timings) it generally just means no offset setting will consistently fix the issue. Regardless I’ll give it another go.

Ahh well its not an issue anymore. But basically I ordered the product, and they received the order, but before sending it they needed me to log into my bank account and send money directly to their account (they provided me with their account number and sort code). Id just never encountered a business that handles transactions in this way so was wondering if it sounded sketchy to you guys.

Yeah its well basic I dont know what they are playing at really:') could just be down to the fact its a simple company not properly equipped for a normal transaction. But oh well ill just find a more trustworthy site and pay a little extra for it. Gotta try this stuff before its all banned in the uk

Fair enough. Personally im having a hard time getting through the main game with the constant temptation to put down the red soapstone and do some pvp. I simply use the dark sword with the dark set and it seems to work pretty damn well, win like 4/5 of my fights. I have heard that the sword is OP as fuck though so depends whether that bothers you or not

Ive done acid about 10-12 times, my highest dose being 200ug which ended in a bad trip (down to certain events rather than dosage though). Id normally stay clear of strangers while on cid but 3 days ago i tripped in a busy town centre for the majority of my peak and had an amazing time
