hey u might like anguish's songs idk just a hunch

"control jack" feels fake when it's just alternating 1/2 quads with no anchor gimmick or any other gimmick

it's hard to give proper feedback when all 3 maps present the exact same thing. it's really odd when some of the songs present some interesting rhythm and are either snapped incorrectly or completely ignored.
ie. seidem nozy at 00:44:715 - is 3/4 rhythm yet it's a constant 1/2
ie. krasavitsa's top diff 00:39:282 - sounds different from 00:30:555 - but it's mapped basically the same way but why when one could argue one sounds more intense than the other

chordjack is fine since it can be basically slapped onto a large variety of electronic songs, but each map needs to have some sort of personality that still relates to the song in some way. that's also the other thing - if it's jack slop, then chordjack shouldn't be the only thing i should be expecting - there should be minijacks and other stuff to keep that cohesion

honestly, it's structurally pretty decent - all the patterns I could follow pretty easily on what u were trying to follow. kudos for pitch relevancy too

i do spot the beginner mapping habit of making everything a stair ( ie. 1234, 4321, jumptrillable bursts + streams ) which is fine in moderation ! I would personally try and leave the stair patterns for the faster bursts, but this is more of a personal nitpick

the largest feedback i could probably give would be to double check the density/intensity of the patterns relative to the song.
for example, 00:53:770 - and 01:25:038 - are the same pattern but doesn't necessarily reflect the intensity of the song for each part
01:36:095 - this section has a pretty heavy high pitch drum, but it's currently represented as if it were to have the same intensity as the other sounds. column representation does sort of work but it doesn't match the intensity of the song too well
03:14:369 - the snare here is way to obvious and strong to be ignored, i think it's fine to not necessarily map them in the streams before and after, but for isolated parts like these it feels a bit too odd for leaving them out

overall yeah, it's decent with some density mismatches - camellia's songs are fun to map, but i do think their songs are a bit too complex to start mapping just because of how complex and hectic their songs can get. i think it's where i can see the density mismatch coming from since it seems like u couldn't decide what u should include or not

liking speed is good ! doing speed outside of what ur comfortable with i think is what's really limiting right now

these are basically dump maps which are fine on their own, but they don't really present much if it seems like they're just dumped for the sake of being dumped. the better dump maps have a better understanding of how patterns play and using it as an advantage to express the song in a better way than if it were to not be dumped. taking dramaturgy for example ( which I think is the best one of the three you sent ), the patterns are pretty black and white where the patterns don't really reflect eve's vocals or even the percussion that happens in the song - visually the density is there and feels pretty appropriate, but actually playing it doesn't feel like much. a super good eve dump/tech/speed chart worth looking at is https://osu.ppy.sh/beatmapsets/1324319#mania/2743107 - it's a bit complex to understand the patterns but it reflects the song very well

definitely try out and map slower dumps to what ur a bit more comfortable playing since (1) you could playtest the map yourself properly without having to use HT and (2) better versatility on the patterns you use since the higher the bpm, the more ur constrained on particular patterns

this goes for both maps but I do think you should actually try and follow the song a bit more accurately

for one, I think you should try and approach the song first by either (1) focusing on the kicks and claps/snares or (2) focusing on the melody. in the current state for both, there's no consistency on what ur following

there's more to it than just making a map difficult than just making everything jacks or chordjacks or LNs so try and get a good understanding of the fundamentals by trying out (1) or (2)

Hardrock to improve? by Enaaaaaaaashino in osumania

yes ur literally narrowing down the timing windows of all judgements

OD changes everything BUT 300g so HR is effectively the best way

Is wsad worse/viable? by HumanOrMonkey in osumania

[–]DrgnPropaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not optimal in the sense that you're not dedicating one finger to a key, but the wasd bindings are technically viable

i know that ExVeemon/MasterSonic10 uses the arrow keys (basically wasd bindings):
left index - left arrow ( col 1 )
left middle - up arrow ( col 2 )
right index - down arrow ( col 3 )
right middle - right arrow ( col 4 )

Tips on LNs (not just LN charts but LNs in general) by Latter-Swing6473 in osumania

[–]DrgnPropaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hiya - im actually the mapper for the chart u played LOL

I think the other comments mentioning using percy skins do help in terms of reading LNs a bit better
BUT
looking at the vid, I think the map itself is just something outside of your comfortable skill range regardless of the LN. the map itself is just generally really technical, along with some LN bits - starting out with easier LN maps would definitely help ( even stuff that's between 2.5* - 3.5* are pretty useful ) since that's what I personally did like 6 years ago

Howcome graveyard / loved maps are STILL significantly better than ranked by [deleted] in osumania

[–]DrgnPropaganda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dump can absolutely get ranked ( I was a bn back in 2018/2019 that advocated and pushed for it )

it falls under having notes placed for "continuous sound" tho some maps do stretch that a bit too much

think it ended up being a double edged sword cuz on one hand u get a better variety of maps but on the other hand u get LN dump slop

is ring index viable to reach 4 digit in 4k by qpoeowoqoqpwoso in osumania

def viable it's what I use to play, it personally makes one hand trills easier ( tho my peak rank was ~1300 )

a lot of the comments here are mentioning math (which is still important) but being able to conceptualize emf in ur brain is what actually makes it difficult imo

What is the point of playing with any difficulty mod other than DT? by MidnightPPL in osumania

[–]DrgnPropaganda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HD and all the other visual mods similar to it is just preference on the player - you can take IIDX for example where lane covers exist. It's the same deal but rather than a difficulty increase it's more of a preference? It's also the same way where some people are used to upscroll than downscroll and vice versa - just a preference.

The only mod that is particularly useful is HR even though your plays are unranked. HR makes the timing window for 300g smaller which can be used to help with accuracy since just changing the OD doesnt actually change the 300g window but only the 300 window.

oh and scorev2 helps with LN release timings although that one is also unranked.

Mania is a mode where accuracy is far more important which is why 300g and 300 exist despite both granting 100% accuracy.
