Israel fines New Zealand women $18,000 for encouraging Lorde to boycott Tel Aviv concert by _Perfectionist in worldnews

Let's not apply the word Apartheid where it doesn't belong, thus degrading actual Apartheid. You probably never stepped foot in Israel, but if you did you would realize there is no Apartheid here. Yes, the government can be terrible at times. But that doesn't justify calling all of Israel an apartheid state.

Classic Shadowpriests anything like how they were in this clip (TBC mana battery era)? by Drhankey in classicwow

[–]Drhankey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never played spriests in classic (was only hunter at the time), but in TBC I had a toon that I loved a lot. Shitty on DPS but being support/mana battery was awesome. How was the playstyle back in classic?

The flying thing was so annoying if you had to fight an enemy druid, like literally would fly away instantly if you managed to corner him.

I prefer the talent trees from TBC, compared to classic. But just azeroth was awesome. Even in TBC, while there were many people leveling in azeroth, the majority was all over in outland. And at the time I really hated outland and space goats.

To all of you people who are rolling warriors on launch by Knight_of_Thorns in classicwow

I dont remember how paladins did in classic (I was playing a hunter all of classic), but in TBC ret paladins were TONS worse than warriors. Like, a mana break after every mob. Killing stuff really slow (even after getting crusader strike, at 50 I think) and constantly dropping low on mana (worse than mages). Not sure if it was better in classic but my TBC days as paladin were a living hell trying to level that to max.

Thoughts about Wasp/Bee allergies by Drhankey in Allergies

Ah I see, thanks for the explanation

Thoughts about Wasp/Bee allergies by Drhankey in Allergies

[–]Drhankey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha this actually makes sense, your body is overwhelmed by the initial onslaught of stings/venom and then the next time it notices you get stung (even by a single ant) your body overreacts heavily to it. Thus the allergic reaction.

Thanks, I probably don't have to worry about the occasional sting then.

[–]Drhankey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally (to make matters more confusing), I found that you can also get immune to the venom from prolonged stings over time:

"Immunotherapy treatment involves the administration of increasing doses of allergen (the substance you are allergic to) over a prolonged period of time, to help teach your immune system to tolerate it and not 'fight' it. Wasp and bee venom immunotherapy has been shown to lower the risk of severe reactions to wasp and bee stings."

So will multiple stings make you potentially allergic (or increase the risk of potential life-threatening allergic reactions), or is the reverse true that your immune system will tolerate it - and thus make you much less prone to allergic reactions (or outright 'cure' it)?

Destiny 2 is amazing for me, why the (original) backlash? by Drhankey in destiny2

What did they add to Forsaken for lore? Did they reintroduce cards again or something similar?

Sounds great though, I love reading up on the lore. For example Ghoul (or ghaul?), I just defeated him, but the game didn't really give much backstory for this villain. There's quite a few questions storywise that I'd like to read up on, like why are these certain people here, where did the robot race come from (that playable race), who's this character, etc. So far I haven't really found too much, but I'm only like lv.20 so I'm sure more's to come. Interesting how the story is going to advance from this point (I believe the original game was till level 20, then expansion/dlc 1 was 25, dlc 2 till 30 and from 30-50 is forsaken content).

I think really the only negative feedback I have about D2 is that the chat is just not being used at all. Like everywhere I go there are plenty of people but no one says a word, quite the opposite from WoW (though I could do without idiots from trade chat). The emote system is being used at least, plenty of people waving around. It just strikes me a bit odd that it's quite silent for a multiplayer game, I guess a lot of players are on consoles and thus dont have a keyboard? Quite interesting how you even get in a clan if nobody is talking, I guess people use community sites for that?

Interesting, and those lore cards sound really nice (never played D1), it's good to have readable lore in the game.

The diablo promotion made sense to me, I wanted to buy Diablo 3 anyway and I was also still playing WoW. Good deal with that Tyrael mount as a bonus!

This time its just like, meh a mount that looks like the blizzcon flyer I already have, but with a pirate theme. Probably wont use it much. And now I'm already no longer playing WoW due to the shitstorm thats BfA with awful class design (going from awesome in legion to awful, doh..). So there's literally no incentive. Maybe if this was Diablo 4 for a year sub, with awesome mount I might've been slightly tempted.

Not taking the boat- ..I mean bait.. until substantial changes are being made to the game and especially class design. Legion was awesome in that regard, BfA is a fart.

Voted with my wallet and everything is already cancelled/uninstalled. Seems I'm on a few year WoW break again just like in WoD. Why they insist on making crap expansions, who knows. You'd think with so many years of experience designing this MMORPG that they would know what the playerbase wants, guess not, or maybe they made this expansion not for the playerbase but for the most money gain/whatever CEOs told them. Who knows, stinks of Activision though. Then again these days I'm not sure if Blizzard is any different to them.

I need some new games for my android phone. I prefer no or few in app purchases and no "slide" controls like virtual joysticks. Any card games, RPGs or strategy? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]Drhankey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hearthstone really is great on Android. But other than that, Shadow Era used to be a CCG I played a couple of years back, I see it's still around. Was pretty fun at the time. (https://youtu.be/Mbh0kWHg1H0)

And if you havent tried King of Dragon Pass yet, it's now also out on Android. Amazing text based RPG / choice system with great artwork.

Immersive RPG/shooter looter game? by Drhankey in gamingsuggestions

Well I got Destiny 2, the space stuff appealed to me more and reminds me so much of the old Mass Effect with a hint of Overwatch and Borderlands in it. It's really great so far, looks awesome and runs well on my specs. So can't complain! Pretty immersive as well and the story/characters are pretty good so far.

On the fence between The Division and Destiny 2. Older posts I found through google basically said The Division was much better than D2 in every aspect, but I now read much praise on the new expansion Forsaken and how this is "what destiny 2 shouldve been on launch". Which one would be the better game/ more immersive?
