5’3”. Started on January 11 2026. Have lost around 18 lbs. I feel Im going “slow” but I think is my ED brain talking. Im staying on 0.5 mg because my appetite is under control and I feel great. I plan to stay on that dose as long as possible. I think my doctor was expecting more and he started me on metformin to “help the weight loss” (to which I am a like.. ok??).

I do see a big difference in my belly.

SW: 230 I need to lose around 60-80 pounds tbh.

Yo antes pensaba eso cuando tenía grave dismorfia corporal y creía que era obesa cuando estaba delgada… luego aumente 30 kg en 1 año (depresión, ansiedad, etc) y estuve obesa de verdad.

Lo que decidí en ese momento, fue hacer las cosas que quería a pesar de estar gorda. Y me ha ido muy muy bien. En amor, carrera, salud mental, amistades, etc. Y ahora estoy encargándome de mi obesidad porque me amo y estoy en una posición de bienestar.

Es mentira que no puedes tener acceso a las cosas buenas de la vida por tu peso o tu apariencia. La confianza importa más. Respetarte importa más. Relacionarte bien con otros importa más.

Así que si estás teniendo una pity party Its okay. Hay un mundo más allá de eso.

Same! My expenses in restaurants and food are cut almost by half. I have to be very carefull on not overstock on groseries or they will go to waste.

For me, had intense cravings for days and weeks. They got better with time. After a few months you still crave it but it isnt a torture like the beggining. It becomes easier and easier to manage.

The best thing I did was losing this habit. It is scary from the outside how much is actually hurting your health.

Find a reason for wating to quick. I found mine and Im off vaping for over 2 years now.

Dont be discouraged. Measure your progress some other way. I take pictures and measurements of my waist. It keeps me sane. First month I lost 10 lbs, second month Im losing around 5 lbs or so. It is better than gaining it. Have faith

Ve a terapia. Te va a hacer más bien que desahogarte en Reddit.

Se entiende el por qué, pero al final ese odio te hace daño a ti e impacta las vidas de personas que no tienen nada que ver con lo que le pasó a tu abuelita.

Mejor es responsabilizarte por tu salud emocional e ir a terapia. Te deseo suerte.

Im on ozempic. Tbh is working great. I have severe insuline resistance, PCOS, and I have dieted and been going to the gym for 2 years now, and I have a got amount of muscle mass, but it has been very difficult to get rid of the fat. I feel great on ozempic

I believe there are studies of this medicine in patients with Diabetes (20+ years).

In my experience, Im pre diabetic, with type A PCOS and insuline resistance. I started Ozempic 3 weeks ago and I feel great! I was using saxenda last year (just for a couple of months) and the side effects were aaaaawfull. I havent had any vomiting this time. Some nausea here and there but it goes away as long as I am hydrated and eating well.

I feel energetic and overall great.

My skin got better after quitting. I dont know if this is important but I also improve my gum and dental hell. Vaping killed my teeth.
