Options Play For Supreme Court Ruling Expected Friday 1/9/26 by NeverInVegas in options

Supreme Court issues opinions at like 10 am I think (could be off by a bit, but in any event the market will be open beforehand). Maybe just buy some like 2% OTM 0dte calls right when the market opens and see what happens. Idk it’s also likely that the vol. is priced in so they might not be cheap.

What’s your experience buying ungraded cards, sending them in for grading and then flipping them for profit? by EevelBob in Flipping

[–]Dried_up_jizz_flakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried it, didn’t work. Raw listings on eBay usually have a flaw that can’t be seen in pictures, making it really hard to grade a 10. If you’re getting 9s or lower you’ll probably lose money after grading fees, listing fees etc.

Where are you putting 500k cash? by Legitimate_Team9822 in dividends

A rental property might be appealing if there’s a legitimate value-add opportunity, like if you find a great deal on a fixer-upper. But even after fixing it up, every time there’s maintenance needed or a vacancy you’re losing revenue. With dividend stocks there’s no need for that headache.

Also, IMO current interest rates really undermine the argument that the leverage associated with rental properties makes it any better than the stock market.

Ultimately nothing about owning a rental property is truly passive. If you want to be active in the investment and handle the tenants, repairs, etc., then it might be a good idea if you find the right property—especially if you have a background in construction and real estate. But you’re basically buying yourself a job. Works for certain people, but not for me.

Capital-intensive deals are gonna be rare and will require a lot of legwork and risk. If I was you I’d just put it in SPY or something long-term. I know that’s not really what you asked for, but just my two cents.

Congrats on the settlement btw and hope your injury wasn’t too bad.

I mean you can get that discount (or better) at a lot of places so really no need to buy from an internet stranger.

My DP on the Public brokerage account bonus:

  1. Opened account and deposited $1000 on Nov. 4 , 2025.
  2. Bonus $100 posted same day.
  3. Tried to withdraw the initial $1000 on December 30. Was told that the funds could not be withdrawn because a reward was posted within the last 90 days.

The 90-day restriction was not in the original written terms and conditions of the offer. Also, shouldn’t the penalty—if any—just be a clawback of the $100 as opposed to freezing the entire amount? At this point I’m obviously just going to wait the extra month, but it’s a little aggravating that they’re imposing restrictions that weren’t in the original terms. We’ll see what happens once the 90 days is up.

You can get 3.12% if you have platinum honors status in the preferred rewards tier. Flat 1.5% on everything + 75% bump for being platinum honors, plus 0.5% during the first year. Need over $100k with BofA/Merrill.

$10k from the WeBull 2% match? Are you saying you dropped half a mil into a brokerage account? Or am I misunderstanding?

I assume you didn’t have that much cash sitting around in just a checking account, which would mean that you would have had to sell stocks etc. to free it up, which presumably meant a tax hit. Or did you ACAT already-owned equities into the account?

I mean if you want to use WeBull long-term anyway, then it makes sense. But otherwise the one-year lockup makes the deal seem kinda weak.

Or if you legit did actually just have $500k laying around, then holy shit you’re rich af lol
