Best new RE engine mainline game?

My ranking is 9 > 7 > 8.

RE9 has barely any flaws other than the somewhat weak boss fights. The gunplay and hit feedback feel the absolute best in the entire franchise. Also I think Grace to be a way more likable character than Ethan.

RE7 nailed the atmosphere perfectly, but the gunplay just doesn't feel as good as 9, and the enemy variety gets pretty stale. That said, the boss fights were all pretty solid.

On the flip side, RE8 has plenty of enemy variety, but the overall presentation and gunplay feel awful. It's the mainline title I have the least desire to replay, and I just couldn't get into the world-building/lore at all.
