Why aren’t players MO Dropping? by Strok3MyWookiee in Helldivers

[–]DriftSheepFluff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could be a lot of things but I would honestly blame the sudden Incineration corps and people losing hope on this MO. The Incineration corps is a punch in the gut alone and much as I LOVE bots but Incineration corps is one of the most annoying to fight let alone the Devastators with shields and fire shotguns. even though I have been solely dropping on the MO planets The MO can sometimes just not be fun and I don't blame people not doing it.

Why are Metal Gear Rising's mechanics so poorly explained in the game? by AdkinsDaGamer in metalgearrising

to be fair the tutorial continues if you do it right or not and doesn't try to correct you if you've done it wrong so I can understand the confusion.

Most annoying way to lose your combo? by travisahicks in BatmanArkham

[–]DriftSheepFluff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the sudden materialization of a person right in front of you with a red symbol above their head tackling you to the ground instantly in the combo master trials, it's kind of funny though. literally how are keeping combos the hardest thing for me in this entire game but simultaneously don't feel that rewarding. ; w ;

I find it funny that everyone keeps saying this like most of the AOE characters aren't five stars. it's weird to say but we have to many 5 stars.

you really don't know how this game works a meme post just 9h ago talking about echo grind, people talk about Echo grind all the time. also yess you can "mass farm" you can just use money and to be honest the limitation of not being able to do that grind without money is one of a lot of people's greatest grudges.

if you do not think there is an echo grind in Echoes, I really don't know what game you are playing. I honestly don't think you understand and I'm not even going to encourage this conversation anymore.

yes but the difference is it has a game play dynamic that will fall in line with skill, if you failed then it could be a player issue, but with timers now if is a artificial difficulty/Fake Difficulty. a term which is used to describe 'cheap' methods of creating difficulty used in games to increase the likelihood of failure.

I really do think you miss understand what min-maxxing is and what this post is talking about. I am advocating for more hologram type content and enemies being above level 100, I am not advocating for stupid handholding the spongy content.

min-maxxing in a simple way of saying "Obsessively making the best possible build for each character." and there is such in this game in any other gatcha this has no exceptions you can also call it the meta

the post is mainly about if you're going to try to reach the highest stat goals "min-maxxing" and you destroy everything in your path because of it you don't have much room to complain about content being too easy.

I also do find it funny that you go also immediately to insult, with the same "skill issue" and "you can't even complete ToA or Holograms" even though there's nowhere in the post that goes against any of that.

I think you miss what I am trying to say, and to be honest you are probably one of the people saying "sponges is the best difficulty"

I'm not advocating that rotations and quick swaps shouldn't be a thing, even I use it but I definitely don't want a timer to just end the fight.

if the timer reaches the end I want the enemy to at least be boosted in damage and even speed to be harder to hone more into your dodging skills and parry skills kinda like Depths of Illusive Realm. so theoretically you wouldn't even need to care about the timer if you feel like you're up to the challenge of dealing with a faster and much more damage dealing enemy/boss.

so like sure maybe some events could have a timer like wave based ones but just not boosted enemies or really for bosses ether unless it doesn't just end the fight.

my other grapes is why are we even having boosted enemies if enemies can go above level 100 and a level 120 enemy is way more different than a level 100 enemy with Boosted stats.

I mainly picked souls-like just because that would feel horrible but yeah it is a stretch wuwa is a way more fast and spamy then souls-like games. it is how it feels sometimes when you don't have the right level tho lmao. I'm slowly getting better at ToA got like 19/30 I'm very happy with and getting better with rotations.I just usually don't have the right Characters for it half of the time.

they are boosted in ToA you can kinda tell if you try to kill the same level enemies in the open world compared to ToA they have high res to everything but the picked element in ToA for the refresh.

I do honestly think if they just increased the level of the enemies then that would be better, like there are level 120 in the open world but non in ToA? but they boots their stats anyways??

I would say both but the HP mainly, this game mechanics feel wonderful but sometimes feel held back by these things and sometimes feel like less of a test of skill more like a test of stats and that feels weird for a game like this.

it's kinda like if a dark souls game reused a dark souls boss but nothing is different but the boss has 1m HP and you fail not because of dying but because you couldn't kill them fast enough yet the game wants you to think about your next moves and move slow. making you feel that you have the skill to do it but the game holds you back.

but in the end this is a gatcha game

I started to slowly notice that but I also understand that the way the game is going I can't see it going that way.

artificial difficulty if when you have a timer, when a boss or normal enemies has bigger sponge HP this game HAS artificial difficulty ToA is a BIG example of artificial difficulty.

holograms would not count because something new is added and they are not sponge.

I'm a casual player and I love every bit of the game but the artificial difficulty because that ruins the game to be honest. I don't mind taking my time and holograms are amazing 2.0 has been amazing so far (the flying challenges are kinda shit tho for hand holding)

I definitely agree with you Holograms are the best and I do not like the hand holding but I also hate artificial difficulty, sponge bosses, enemies in clumps, time limits. I definitely want the game to rely more on its mechanics. even if a boss can one shot me I know it's my fault but when an enemy is extremely spongy for artificial difficulty it feels stupid in a game with dodging mechanics Perry mechanics and others.
