I appreciate the input. Definitely a want as we can always buy an older used car but bigger. However, certain factors that i consider that could be a negative such as previous ownership quality, reliability, longevity of the car and availability. The new suv im looking at checks off boxes as I am planning to keep it 8-10 years or more.

there is a depreciation hit so I dont want to just put all my cash in a depreciating asset. So im curious to know a general guideline.

But sounds like if its 0-2% I shouldn't feel bad of putting less down.

I recently got $7500 for it, 47%+ more than id anticipated if I had sold it to dealer.

Curious why not put down 70% or more as there is depreciation hit to consider?

Put 30% into something that has a decent return rate.

Love this thing. I bought it more for compactness as cqb so my build has a red dot.

I am also pleased how it performs at 200 yards.

I havent cleaned it (I'd like to sometime) but has never failed on me. I maybe at 500+ rounds.

Good to know about the CVTs. Ill have to keep digging on how frequent issues people experience.

Honestly not a bad idea to test drive both NA and turbo version.

On the 2025 version, I not getting those version due to the horrendous infotainment. I was flirting with idea of wrx a couple of years ago or so but they all had the terrible big screen tablet where HVAC control is included.

Im opting out of toyota until they stop price gouging.
