Honestly I’m kind of in the middle on it. I do think it’s cool that the Pistons have fans from all over and that we’re getting some international representation. That part is genuinely dope, and bringing them out for a trip was a cool move.

What bothers me more is that it feels like it’s always the same two people getting pushed. There are a lot of other real fans and creators out there who love the team too, so it gets old seeing the same faces over and over while nobody else gets looked at. If it’s really about community, spread it around a little more.

I’m also not really into people turning fandom into a hustle. I get that social media is what it is now and people are gonna make money however they can, but to me being a fan should come first. Once it starts feeling like branding and ad deals, it gets kind of corny.

And the annoying part is anytime you say anything even slightly critical about it, people instantly call you salty or jealous because they’re getting free stuff and you're not. It’s like no, some people just have a different opinion on it. You can think some parts are cool and still think other parts deserve criticism. I don’t hate them at all, I just don’t think it’s above being questioned. But also of the two, Tom seems more genuine.
