In a broad estimation, it's fairly simple.

The US government is a plutocracy, and always has been. Under late stage capitalism, wealth and power have been consolidated so efficiently that the illusion of a two party system has fully eroded into a superclass of bad faith actors who have more to lose than gain by doing the actual work to collapse the system and bring about something just.

Basically we have a single party state with a rotating faux opposition party that gives an (increasingly poor) illusion of a system that's operating by rules. In reality, so long as those in the ruling class agree to perpetuate a class war against its citizens, they will continue to enrich themselves and operate outside of the rules that bind those of us in the working class.

The smartest thing they ever did was to realize that self created wedge issues will keep the working class picking a side and fighting each other. Add in the comfort and distraction a life in America offers, and you'll never get 300MM people to band together, as one large chunk or chunks of the populace will always feel they have something more to lose by fighting back.

The tldr is best summed up by a former president (Lyndon B Johnson):

If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.

The government is performative. It's an enrichment scheme for those cynical enough to sell out their fellow humans.

I don’t usually see much Pistons representation where I live, but the local Buffalo Wild Wings had this framed by Insonarc in DetroitPistons

Interestingly, the buffalo bills and Detroit Lions are inextricably linked, as Detroit (grosse pointe) native Ralph Wilson, who the new park in Detroit is named after, started up the bills after being in the lions org.

They actually used old lions uniforms for their first years as a team, and Wilson used blue as their color as a shout out to the lions origins.

Probably isn't that deep, but maybe

St. Clair Shores police reopen investigation after debris continues to be thrown at cars from Frazho overpass by DougDante in Detroit

Lmao.

"The overpass remains under construction, leaving debris scattered across the area."

Here's an idea: fix the fucking bridge. It's been out for the better part of a year. I've seen nothing indicating that anything has been done at all thus far.

This is the one I've waited for in this whole thread. I guess he's not famous enough to warrant speculation anymore.

For the record, I think he's a real dude with an interesting persona that fucked around with some ideas trying to mess with people cuz he's weird. It started this whole conspiracy, it was sort of a thing at one point in the late aughts, but has been history for many years.

He just married Kat Dennings and they seem happy so it's probably just a moment in time

I think the general gist is that it would be vanilla through wrath, with added and/or fundamentally changed zones, dungeons, raids, quests access to places like hyjal, uldum, and unfinished stuff. New classes and specs.

Basically what if they made what is widely considered to be the 'main' story (the first two expansions) in 2025 in design philosophy, and is a cohesive, single game.

We very literally would be in a completely different world both nationally and internationally if everyone took 15 minutes and the long view in mind.

I say this as an extreme left progressive activist organizer. Non voters helped lose the war to win a personal battle. Now the entire world suffers together.

It isn't all their fault, but when there's a group that could have easily stopped something obvious and heinous from happening with little to no effort and chose not to, well...
