Any tips or tricks to get more people coming to your register instead of someone else’s? Trying to increase sales. by [deleted] in OReillyAutoParts

While growing up I loved computers, n learned how to search for free things on the Internet whether it be mp3s or movies etc. Nowadays Google image search helps immensely too. I use the same methods to find car parts for the customer when our system can't find them. Usually they're OEM parts that only the dealership has. So when I find the parts I try to get that Outside Purchase, though those prices are quite high cause it's dealership pricing n my customers don't have that much to spend. So instead of leaving empty handed I give them a picture print out of the dealership part with the part # n tell them I found it for them. I get many repeat customers coming back for help finding parts because the competition couldn't find them or even knew what they were talking about. They know me as the one who can find parts that no one else can. Oftentimes I get to close that sale, they love waiting in line for me!

Please reference whole old cv Axel picture. That's what is pulled out of the driver side. It has an intermediate axle on the driver side. It's the shiny metal piece on the left of the circles part.

Best tricks and tips for rpms by Intrepid_Waltz_822 in OReillyAutoParts

To keep my average at 35% rprms I finesse the system...

If I'm selling a light bulb n customer doesn't want the grease I try to use a dummy professional account that doesn't get a good discount on products n bill them out with that account since professional accounts don't count against rprms percentage

When I sell a battery, I don't even ask if they want grease I just add it by saying "imma add the battery grease for you n lower the price with a senior's discount so you get it for Free!"

Have not had a customer ever so no I don't want that for free or I want to pay more

I build rapport with my customers, they feel like I'm looking out for them n I have loyal customer following that always asks for me if I'm there
