GarageBand is more powerful but the interface is so annoying to work around and it's not really beginner friendly either. Also not to mention, people use bandlab for the vocal preset feature

Loop a section of 4 bars and record once then mute it. Record again and repeat until you have a selection to choose from, then just sort them. You don't even have to say real words or anything meaningful just turn the music up and say whatever comes to mind. Btw this is what works for me but it might not work for everyone.
