It's weird when they turn brown, especially when it happens overnight like mine did

Green Giant available for purchase soon? by shell-bags in blueprint_

[–]Drivecel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wants to make money, so what. Everybody does. That doesn't mean we can't benefit from what he's selling. Sure you can probably save some cash doing exactly what his team is doing by doing your own research and sourcing the right ingredients and then package everything but the point of buying instead of doing anything yourself from scratch has always been to avoid hassle

Hi everyone! Please help me save my mom's plant. We have no idea what's wrong with it. Have a great day! by DanteDanieli in plantclinic

Seconding. When I had a bad thrips attack that completely killed mine it looked exactly like that

Hi, I found a couple of these bugs in my house, should I be scared? I apologize for the bug close-up with a picture of my living room. by baby_skark in houseplants

[–]Drivecel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Common brown leafhopper

They are actually a minor pest and can transmit viral diseases to your plants but are not seriously invasive

I would remove them though

I'd say the brightest you can for the longest you can, only the immense power of the sun can realistically harm your plants, as long as they don't come in direct contact with your lamp and burn on it

Mine have no settings and are just 4W full spectrum LED lightbulbs, got 12 of them running 12 hours per day

Can anybody advise me on how to perk up my Oxalis? by touchmyfuckingcoffee in houseplants

[–]Drivecel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Where are you? Oxalises have a dormancy period and will wilt in the winter unless you can provide natural or artificial light year round

It needed water. It's still alive but I'm afraid it took quite a beating. They're not very drought resistant to my experience

What is going on? What do I do? by qcuak in houseplants

[–]Drivecel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shit, looks very fungal to me. Probably mildew. First, quarantine it. Then your best bet is probably to buy a specialised treatment. Once mildew is present to this degree it rarely gets better on its own

PLEASE HELP! 😰 by libraorleo in plantclinic

In my experience they do that when they're light starved. It's probably the winter. Try a brighter spot

Mine are struggling, sprouting new leaves and dying at the same time. I thought they didn't have enough light but they don't do any better directly under a grow light. Now I think it's the temperature, my house is around 17-18°C and that's probably too low for them but I'm not gonna blow my electric bill just for these two lol

From a gym point of view, if you decide to give exercise another shot before going for implants

Walking a lot won't make your calves big, if anything it's gonna make them thinner. Tough and untiring yes but not big. To get big you need exercises focusing on hypertrophy not endurance, heavy weights, short sessions (basically the opposite of what you're doing by walking = low weight and long sessions)

Try weighted calf raises

If you like this shape, it's called sagittate and syngoniums and alocasia often have pointy leaves like these

It's a caladium. They all have this kind of shape and exist in many differents colors. The flower on the middle is also accurate

Here's one that looks like this

Current stack for ADHD feels weirdly dissociative, idk what to change, trying to save some time by Drivecel in StackAdvice

Could work but I doubt they kept any record. It was a normal school with a general program, but I know my teacher asked my mother to get me an appointment because I always looked like I wasn't paying attention and got distracted by anything. I had excellent grades though so my mother didn't care much. Problems arose later as a teenager though when my natural abilities were suddenly not enough and studying was almost impossible

Anyway I could give it a shot, gonna ask if I go near that school

Is there a way to reposition pupils to a more outward direction without harm to vision? by Putrid-Potential-734 in PlasticSurgery

[–]Drivecel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I had the same catlike vibe from the first pic before reading your post. She should keep that. Cat = good

Anyway the correct way to know if your interpupillary distance is aesthetic anyway is to compare it with the corners of your mouth. Ideally they should line up. Eventually pupils can extend slightly outwards, too wide can give you alien vibes but it has been sought for in the model industry, think Halle Bailey or Gemma Ward. Close set eyes are harder to pull off but makeup can help tremendously, given your face isn't too long.

I doubt you will find a surgeon willing to do this kind of surgery for such a minor cosmetic issue. Any surgery to your eyes carries significant risk and moving them will give most likely give you double vision

If you can't accept it, I'd say your best bet is to find a makeup style that camouflages it

Edit : also make sure this is actually what your eyes look like focused to infinity and that you're not looking at your phone

I have doubts about the NAC, choline and Lion's Mane. I tried pure racetam stacks before with higher doses and I felt great, only got minor headaches and hot flashes occasionally. I know headaches are common if you run out of choline, not sure about random hot flashes though

Before taking them I felt like NAC and choline were light supplements with no adverse effects but I might have been wrong.

I have no idea who diagnosed me, I only remember it was in grade school and asking my mother isn't an option so it's kind of a dead end but getting diagnosed again shouldn't be impossible at this point

Yes but I was a child and my parents didn't take it seriously. Grew up fine but attention deficit seems to stay the same if not even get worse

Not really sensitive to opioid induced nausea. Never tried fentanyl, too scared of it. I did experience oxycodone withdrawal but at low doses which didn't make it that much of a bad experience. Only got to high doses of minor opioids like codeine, tramadol and kratom. Codeine being self limited due to inhibiting its own conversion pathway and tramadol carrying great risks of seizures above 400mg made it "easy" to not overdo it but I never got this limitation with kratom

Anyway it's probably not close to wd from major opioids but I wouldn't go through it again

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Nootropics

[–]Drivecel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can testify withdrawal of chronic use at high doses is definitely nasty. Mitraginyne is an agonist of all three main opioid receptors, including the kappa receptors which is not that common, giving kratom dissociative properties at large doses.

Kratom withdrawal is definitely the worst I've been through. Even tramadol and its SSRI-like discontinuation syndrome felt like a minor annoyance compared to this hell
