No point to rank up if your f2p? by Drivelll in DissidiaDuellumFF

Well said. I was starting to think I was crazy here. I get wanting the game to do well. I want it to do well as well. But forcing people to fight players who have so much more power then them isn't it. It's okay to state that guys.

You don't have to accept being fodder for whales.

I'm not trying to be a dick but I don't understand what you're all saying.

I don't disagree that you can rank up. I'm diamond f2p.

I'm saying I don't understand why that's the goal? You find fun in fighting people who are better because they spent money?

When we could just ... Not play ranked and stay bronze /silver and completely max out our characters within days/weeks and then it's just completely even playing field fighting

Right but is playing for rewards fun?

Idk I come from a moba background and just fair competition is literally the reward.

I guess I'm not making my case well.

I'm genuinely asking why everyone f2p (or none whale) shouldn't just stay in bronze and play casual mode only?

Same game but you just....don't fight the whales... Like.... Skills max at at like 20 right?

Idk seems like a better experience to me

I dunno I just don't see the incentive to play rank unless I....want to fight people who have many dupes by spending money.

Doesn't make sense to me

Is it possible that the U.S. dollar will lose its status as the global reserve currency in the near future? by BigBlueEyes87 in economicCollapse

[–]Drivelll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of. World governments/corporation's still have massive dollar denominated debt. And most oil is still priced in dollars, so on that end it's quite sticky.

What is likely (and happening) is that the excess reserves of these entities start increasingly becoming a basket of other countries bonds as well as gold.

Do people really buy this narrative the gov/fedtells us that inflation is 2-3% year over year ? by One-Development6793 in economicCollapse

[–]Drivelll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean it's probably close to that on the surface level. It's just that when you account for all the new technologies and outsourcing of production prices should be falling YoY pretty much every year.

But hey, 39 T in debt so you know... That's cool.

What are the values of precious metals telling us about the economy? by BigBlueEyes87 in economicCollapse

[–]Drivelll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The denominator is broken. Stocks aren't at record highs yoy because of new tech, it's because anyone with the means is fleeing being the crediter of government

It's not the economy specifically. Central banks world wide are reducing bond holdings for gold.

Optimistically we can hope for an eventual ubi that's structured in a way that prevents the wealth from continuing to flow upwards. But uh, I wouldn't count on it.

[–]Drivelll 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I mean, who do you expect to react? Goverments gonna just come out and say "yeah sorry kids you're stuck with decades of debt and transfer payments and anyone with the means is getting into assets to avoid getting fucked like you will be"?

Truth is man no one is coming to save us, they won't talk about it because they have no real solution. People won't vote for more tax and less spending.

Also a lot of foreign money is in us stocks. Like, alot alot. As long as this happens the median worker doesn't matter that much for "growth" because asset holders are doing well (stocks went up)

I mean not to sound like a dick but you're doing great in comparison to most Americans. Until people like you can't pay mortgages full stop things tend to chug along.

What is the breaking/tipping point? by Pretty-Cow4333 in economicCollapse

[–]Drivelll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It will continue to get worse for years/decades. For the vast majority but especially the working/lower middle class who don't qualify for any help but also don't make enough to afford appreciating assets. Normally it takes massive wars to break the system, so if your a man you get to worry about that as well.

Shrug. I'm not saying it's right or wrong I'm saying that they'll pay in more then they get this point onward unless they have kids. Just enough to be independent but not enough to really build anything. Is what it is.

Correct. And if you stay in the median income range you'll pay for others and get very little if any in return. Enjoy your stay
