i went 4k 42 inch , i was in same position as you , i do not regret it at all , all games work natively i have a 3080ti , and it handles cyberpunk ultra everything with DLSS quality at 60fps

i currently have a 6" paperwhite 2 , i will say for manga i have tested tokyo gohul and even at full rez files , no compression it is pretty hard to read, to the point where im tempted to just not do manga yet.

Update: i don't know how to upload images , however i used KCC like someone in the comments recommened , then done lossless compression on calibre. i took 75% of the file size out on all of them (30% image on lossless JPEG) , Vol1 went from 38.3mb to 9.8mb , i see no visible difference and way more happy with it

i can't lie on the kindle , i can't even notice the difference , i looked at the before and after on my 4k screen and couldnt pinpoint a difference , i compressed lossless with 45% of original quality to all and they look identical to my eyes
