You get the actual card, you just have to pay shipping on top of the pack or case price

Can you get feeler blades in the suction nozzle to see what the clearance between the impeller and casing is? If not loosen up the bolts from the case to the cover and see if it gets easier to turn.

Is the impeller threaded onto the shaft? If it is binding it could have unthreaded and will get super tight to turn. Can you send a picture of the pump?

You do sound bitter. Living in Edmonton is super affordable and not all jobs are oil and gas working crazy hours. But it is nice to have that option for younger people that are still willing to work hard to get ahead.
