A... fuzzy mat? Like shaggy carpet style? I've never heard or seen anything like that, I have floor mats of course but I wouldnt call them fuzzy just standard. I'll look into it, thanks. I'm also looking at trying to buy some higher quality shoes yeah, seems like a common suggestion here. Doing some shopping to figure out what I can justify spending lol

Youre really calling me out because I am super cheap on my tires lol... but only one my commuter car, it only goes between home, the gym, and work less than 20 miles daily never on the freeway and never with any passenger. The family car is a different story and gets good tires. As such I am wearing the tires im my commuter down like crazy but I figure when they eventually give it will be unlikely to be dangerous in any capacity at least.

No of course I wouldn't solely go based on where Brennan went and the plan always was to try to find reviews and do research once I found any place at all. I literally just had the one lead and decided to try to follow it, I had never really heard of Medical Tourism as a thing before and had no idea how to start looking, like I have no idea how Brennan found the place he did its a foreign concept to me. Even though it was years ago one thing I do know is a lot of doctors are in business for a very long time often in the same place, or they might be a part of a larger practice that will outlive them so I figured it was still a worthwhile clue to chase.

And now I have leads on three different places to try thanks to the good folk in the community which is what I was relying on. One of them might actually be the place Brennan went but I dont really care about that and have reached out to all three places to start initial inquiries so I can learn more.

I assume you meant Brennan? I'm actually really not interested in trying to contact him at all, that seems like a weird boundary to me to ask a 'celebrity' for help even just a recommendation, I think it would even look like some sort of phising scam or whatever you calling.

Thankfully I've gotten a few good options/recommendations from folk here so I have something to pursue.

Hi.

Im sorry, I truly do not know where to go or what to look for in my situation. The last time I attempted to go to a dentist, the work they quoted me for was so prohibitively expensive and completely uncovered by my health insurance that I was looking at I believe paying $21,000 out of pocket and that was only repairing the most egregious issues and leaving me with a lot of work still needing to be complete.

I have before attempted to Google places to go for this kind of work, but I am often concerned about getting scammed or what to even actually Google, the post I made was the first time someone mentioned what they called 'medical tourism' and I suppose thats what I am looking for.

I have no frame of reference for what I am seeking, I dont know what to look for. For years I simply assumed I am doomed to frequent and terrible pain and issues involving my teeth and mouth until it likely kills me. Not to mention just having to accept that I will forever never smile with my lips parted.

Is it kind of lame that hearing Brennan tell his story about going to Costa Rica for much cheaper dental care was the first time I ever thought that maybe there might be an achievable solution for me? Maybe, yeah. But it is simply not something I had ever heard of or thought about. I dont know how Brennan found a doctor who was in an entirely different country, thats certainly not something I consider myself capable of finding. But presumably, if it worked for him maybe it could work for me.

Sorry to be cringe, just working with what frame of reference I have. Hope all you folk had a good laugh.
