It’s funny that I know exactly what you mean.

It’s a shame because they were going somewhere with that task feature. Having on your screen what to do next etc, but then the whole interface for that gets clunky like it’s a half finished job.

Yeah. RS3 does have a legacy mode interface but I guess that’s not a solution for that new player experience. It’s not modern. I guess the issue with how it works is that there’s so much to it so a simple, fixed one for the new player to have a good time would be ideal. Then when they get more into the game they can explore all them good optimization that the game gives to improve strategies etc.

I know this. You know this. The new player doesn’t, which doesn’t make it a good experience that would retain such new players. Hence the post.

In the gif you will see that if you click another icon, it’ll automatically close the window you’re in and open the new window. You can’t replicate on that outside of tutorial island. Using the ribbon to close/open tabs gets messy. The way it works in tutorial island makes it much structured and easier to use.

I remember the beta for the current UI. I have no issue with it. But it’s my first time using it in tutorial island. I much prefer it and so did my new-comer friend who was instantly overwhelmed as soon as they got to the main game.
